Seriously? With CHICAGO, and in front of a small crowd? Ahh....those were the days. I’d forgotten how beautiful Ann Murray is! Look at how mellow and relaxed people were.
Exactly! The people there don't realize just how awesome is event was. Something so pure about this performance, no banner ads for RedBull, crap pyrotechnics or background dancers. Just the music. That's what it really about.
Jonh Lennon said at an award show this is the best cover of a Beatles song he ever heard Anne was blushing and smiling when he said that! Love you Anne@
Regularly, I hear a song on the radio that I haven’t heard in years and come here to UA-cam to do a deep dive on it. Boy, this was a score! I even forgot it was a Beatles cover. Guess that’s a testament to how great it is.
The Caribou Ranch was a studio complex built by Chicago's manager, used by many artists and producers. Chicago also performed "Tired of Being Alone" backing Al Green there. ua-cam.com/video/i-F4janxKEw/v-deo.html
Pure craziness - nice country girl Murray with the jazzy rockers from the big city. I love how the band finds its groove in the last 90 seconds and Murray relaxes too.
The TV special that Anne Murray appeared on with Chicago was at the location of the Caribou Ranch studios. This performance was broadcast on TV. What is different from today, is that was recorded live and without any pyrotechnics that is now so prevalent. The mix quality is very good considering the time.
This video is very kool! This is the most rock type thing Anne Murray has ever done I'm pretty sure, and she actually sounds great here with Chicago! I wish Anne would have experimented more with rock. By the way Elvis loved Anne Murray as a singer. And yes she is absolutely gorgeous! I love her thick beautiful hair in this video.
This is very 70s rock but this video here is her 80s rock you can tell a big difference in both but there both rock song's. ua-cam.com/video/Z5TQhnDSx5A/v-deo.html
@@johnnymegabyte he just saying that she did a beatles song and you acting you want a debate lol but no shits i liked this but i love the beatles song better
Everything in this video is beautiful. The song, the location, the time. This to me is an example of many souls coming together, in a way, to make love. Anne Murray is beautiful on the inside and obviously the outside too! Just lovely. Hearing and seeing this music lights me up inside. Thank you!
Awesome! What real music sounds like. I feel sorry for these youngsters who only listen to vulgar rap and modern pop "music"! This stuff is so much better!
i'm a die-hard fan of Chicago and i have this meanwhile back at the ranch 1974 special with Anne and Charlie Rich, is there somebody who have the complete show in this quality, even there's black bars it's ok for me, it was surely the time counter who was there originally i presume , i'm searching so many years a better copy than what i have, the ''in the rockies'' 1972 program was rebroadcast by VH1 but the 1974 was not i think ?
She's 76 years old now. She doesn't sing anymore, but her speaking voice is just as pleasant to listen to as it ever was. I'm thinking her singing voice is still good. I love her rendition of both the Canadian and American national anthems right here on you tube.
Check out Anne's tv special: "Anne Murray: RSVP", an all request show. Anne, Georges, Aiden and Debbie, as well as the other musicians do a great performance. Hear Anne sing "Black Rum and Blueberry Pie", as well as many of her hits. She also performs "Teddy Bears Picnic"; "There's A Hippo in the Bathtub"; as well as some funny dialog. (Video is on UA-cam).
What made her version really special was the backup vocal (a la "Life Goes On") and the piano arrangement, all of which were absent in this performance. Still, Anne Murray was flawless.
thanks Mark maybe i will never find it, think it was never rebroadcast, the band themselves have to release it, this one in '74 and the other in '73....
I truly envy them who were in this venue. I like this song very much and think her singing voice is better than the Beatles. Listening to this song clearly reminds me of 1974.
I am sure a higher quality video exists. I think it was distorted so it wouldn't be broadcast quality as of most UA-cam Videos. My understanding is they recruited students from the Boulder college campus.
I love that she sings the "hey!" Here, right before the last refrain (like on the beatles LP) but sadly absent from her album version of this ... (The part where she does the doodoo doo doo 💩)
Wow, what a find. You never know what you'll find when you are song surfing. I've always appreciated her

Spring/Summer 1974. It exists out there in another dimension of Time. I miss it!
I was born May of 74 🥹😊
Seriously? With CHICAGO, and in front of a small crowd? Ahh....those were the days. I’d forgotten how beautiful Ann Murray is! Look at how mellow and relaxed people were.
This was a special at the studio that Chicago producer/manager James Guerico had at Caribou Ranch in Colorado.
Exactly! The people there don't realize just how awesome is event was. Something so pure about this performance, no banner ads for RedBull, crap pyrotechnics or background dancers. Just the music. That's what it really about.
You are so right!
Was she wearing maternity clothes?
She is gorgeous in this video

Best part. She’s having a great time!
I had a crush on Anne Murray when I was twelve-years old in 1972. Not only is she an awesome singer, she absolutely beautiful.
that's because she's Canadian
Yo tambien tenia 12 años en 1972 y coincido...es absolutamente bella.
I saw her first.
@@johnnymegabyte huh?
She looks like a female adult version of Justin Bieber to me, but to each his own.

Holy Crap, I miss the seventies so much it really hurts.
You are not alone, trust me.
I was born on the 80s and for some reason, I can relate to you...
Same here.
Music in the seventies had a soul that fortunately is not dying so easily.
I am with you. Miss it, and would love a time machine.
Such a Polite Audience. No one taking Selfies, and genuine applause at the end. Love It!!!
Selfie’s?!🤣 with what? Their polaroid & Kodak cameras?
@@rgrndu brownies or yakashimas
Time Machine set to 1974... 3...2..1... LETS GO!
Yes, take me with you!
Absolutely love this video & Anne Murray.
She is GREAT!!!
50 years later it's still one of my favorite songs
That was an awesome live performance!
It was hidden from public knowledge for 50 years :It’s like from Another Planet compared to today
@@privateconfidential4775 Too much of todays music is so lame in comparison.
También es mi canción favorita en especial con Anne Murray y Chicago, la combinación perfecta.😊
Great find! Thanks.
Back in the day! Great finding this gem moment. Anne Murray with Chicago.
Holy Guacamole. Her voice live.👍🏾👍🏾
Chicago 70s live always⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Would of liked to be there, how about you?
I was a kid then but loved/love the music.
Great find.
Miss Annie has beautiful eyes.
!!! I never knew that they even knew each other...Chicago and Ann Murry

Love to see more from that day , it’s awesome !
If young people today want to know what the 70's were like, show them this video....
Another dynamic live performer.... and trust me this is live... this is exactly what she sounds like live.
This is a precious footage. She is so dynamic.

Beautiful performance! Anne is a lovely girl with a great voice. With Chicago, one of my favorite bands at that! Many thanks!
How GREAT is this???
She was a baby and still a baby. Love her and loved her songs😍
It's not her song

This comes a close second, only to when she toured as lead singer of ac-dc and belted out "Shook me all night long" lol
Checkout her self-titled album from 1996
What an awesome live performance 👏! I would ❤️ love to see that concert. They knocked it out of the park!
no words to tell ....I am out of my mind !!!
a very nice song and a very good singer ..
Anne Murray backed up by Chicago playing a Beatles classic. Terry Kath kills it on guitar. Great job.
Her version went to Number 1. Something the Beatles never did
The Beatles never released it as a single

Not often that the cover is better, much better than the original.
Another event to hit if I ever get the time machine working.
Anne is so CUTE here - pregnant wearing a maternity blouse OMG 👚😍. Great song, love Chicago, too
Wow....
John Lennon told Anne that her version of "You Won't See Me" was his favorite Beatle cover tune!
