They always start with so much potential but it's like the endings are last minute with no real planning

they are all magically connected arent i right? and i believe from my opinion, the witches play a major role tho,they did give them more than one season so it makes u think .. i do love my witches lol im still heartbroken over cordellia
@@Poetiik777 All the seasons follow Dante Inferno’s “Nine Circles of Hell.” Each season represented a circle of Hell. After S9, I’m pretty sure they don’t follow that format anymore.
@@Militant-Mane You're right. With the recent season and this one, you can notice they are just trying to change the format/tv show into something that will stick with the audience. S10 was for the people who kept saying Ryan Murphy doesn't know how to end his seasons, and for the people who kept saying AHS dragged on too long. It's ironic because the season bombed and was critically panned.
S11 is 100% gonna be Pose 2.0 and i genuinely think this is the season that will put the final nail in the coffin for AHS.

@@SEANLIGHTZTV yeah for sure, seeing those little connections is what has kept me going. But those first three seasons stood on their own two feet and didnt need each other to be great. I thought seasons 4 and 5 actually had some really good stuff too. But tbh the only things Ive ended up enjoying in seasons since is those referential moments. Newer seasons just arent cohesive, engaging, scary, or fresh feeling like those first 3, at least not to me. Clearly, I still have my fingers crossed that the right things will flow together and we will experience at least one more great season, though

i think they're just marketing that literally... every season is like no other because it is an anthology series. the irony is that the seasons always turn out the same... campy, brain-dead, flashy storytelling.
Boy oh boy I sure do hope this season has consistent writing and original themes.

I wish they would do a season thats set far far bk in the past. Maybe 1920s or b4. Or even 1400s...1500s. I think that would be really interesting w/the American Horror Story twist.
They technically did, with the milk woman from AHStories that was closer to the witch trials

Loved this season. The ending was so sad, but was also what I was expecting. One of my favorites to come out of this show in the recent years.

@@hellxsco you better be joking... alright the first 5 episodes are fire ngl, but the 6th one however was juts bullshit, they fogotten the whole construction to that episode, it was so rushed and so much of the plot was not followed through. the second half... is literally the definition of laziness, just death after death of characters that werent developed and poor writing, we waited 2 years and they came up with this, ryan murphy proved not once but TWICE that he was the master of writing shitty endings. they need to end this show cause they dont have ideas anymore. not enough to last a whole season, after apocalypse they cant write a good season anymore
Season 10 / 11 really fell off for me….
I think it's time to pull the plug on AHS. These newer seasons can't top the earlier seasons
My theory is that this season might be inspired or based on the real life disappearance of Susan Walsh who was a NYC reporter who disappeared while investigating a vampire cult in the mid-90’s.

Or maybe inspired by the dark age club scene from the 90s in NY like how all those fetish clubs started to appear around that time too and since ahs is known for taking risks with their storylines, who knows🤷♀️

This season was artwork, you have to get to the last few episodes to fully understand it but it was great.
I don't know how I feel about this season...... especially since last season wasn't that great. I hate that they did two different story lines last season. If they continued the first story throughout the season, it would have been a good season. I absolutely hated "Death Valley", it wasn't necessary at all.
The kink stuff is overdone at this point, like it just feels corny and cheesy to me now 🙃

I have a love/hate relationship with it but I'm a fan. If they do a season 3, I'll be watching.
It's definitely more interesting than the original series. The episodes are few and far between. I really liked the Two Part murder house with Sierra. The Bro House, the video game one and the creepiest and weirdest of all Dollhouse. Especially with the connection to my favorite season of the original Coven. The rest of seasons two got lost on my ADHD.
I feel like AHS has already used up all of the good “horror themes” and thus the last few seasons have suffered a little (no fault of their own). We’ve had Haunted Houses, ghosts, witches, voodoo, aliens, vampires, etc. So now they’ve had to pivot to other themes that aren’t really “horror horror” and it hasn’t worked for me. As a horror fan, “NYC” doesn’t get me that excited, but I hope I’m wrong.
I wish these weren’t so flashy as someone with epilepsy I can never even watch them😭
Those episode titles on Twitter and the leaks are giving confidence that they will deliver this season. And this better beat Hotel's body count 😏.

AHS is just another reason why I'm glad I'm an October baby. And another excuse to stay home on Halloween.

@@jduce68 we got the backstory in murder house the gay couple bought it and Tate used it to kill them… and later on as a ghost he used it again… I think Stories was trying to say the evil from the house went into it so it could infect people and make them kill, but both Tate and Scarlett were already evil Tate because the evil from the house infected him as a child and Scarlett because she was born a psychopath

So I never finished season 10. I had one last episode but just wasn't feeling it. I miss old school AHS!!! I will keep watching though and hope it will improve over time
The finale was kinda cool, salvaged the more disappointing parts of the season and was even funny at points
Just doesn’t feel the same without Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson. Overall mid season. Not the worst but didn’t really feel like I was watching ahs, like something was missing

I might be off base here, but it's a horror story, that's American. And each story is different. Call me crazy.
Some are more creative than others. But there will always be a horror story. I guess this one takes place in New York City and has to do with the rave scene.

Exactly. Skipped Roanoke and everything after Apocalypse. I'll give the first 2 episodes a chance, but from the look of it I'll be better off rewatching Coven.

This commercial came on in our break room during work and all my coworkers and I got a bit uncomfortable and awkward. Then we started laughing as it went on and we were like wtf is this??? Even at the end it was sort of ambiguous with the letters AHS NYC. We all thought for a moment it was some new bondage themed club😂😂😂
Then someone who used to watch the show said "oh, I know what this is" and explained it. We were all like yeah I remember this show now. I seriously feel like no one watches this at all now but the commercial brought back some nostalgia for everyone.
The biggest let down season so far and that's after watching 10 minutes soon as a see the politics I stop watching any show don't push your normal onto me do what you want and let live Yehudi

I mean he had the GREAT opportunities to connect 1984 to Hotel via Richard Ramirez, or Double Feature to both Hotel AND Asylum via the vampires and the aliens, but he didn't.....

This season doesn't feel like "AHS." It's not bad, but IDK why Ryan Murphy didn't just create a new series if he wanted to go in such a different direction.

There hasn't been a decent season of ahs since apocalypse. It's clear that the pandemic impacted what they could do,and hopefully they can return to more of the full on production that made earlier seasons so dark and gripping. Half-assed or half-baked don't work for American horror story. I want to be excited but I'm holding my breath and hoping there's no let down .

My challenge for them this season is to deliver an actual ENDING. All the new seasons have had horrible endings that just ruin any sort of enjoyment I had squeezed out of them. They are always so rushed to close every open plot line. AHS endings are, “kill off 6-8 characters in a row within 5 minutes and throw in some little twist right at the last five minutes.”

It's about kinky vampires by the looks of it.
Honestly a series about real vampires getting into the BDSM/kink scene as a way to feast and live undetected is a pretty awesome idea. Easy way of getting people vulnerable and too ashamed to go to the police, or even have them entirely willing if they’re into blood play.
I saw them filming back in June and it has to be a flashback cause it looked like they were re creating the 1970s or early 80s
I hope the 70's. We had a 1984 AHS already and I just want something different. And 1970's NYC was a crazy time so it would make for a good season. 🗽
And I am still waiting for a season in space (since Evan peters mentioned he liked the idea) and I can't get out of my head how amazing that would be.... Well, still excited. I hope we see some familiar faces again ☺️
It would cost way too much to make a season in space. Plus idk, it would be too different from AHS, too scifi.

Seems this season was done because of contract and they had to not because of inspiration. Dahmer was priority and other seems like this season. Not a good sign. Throwing 10 episode in 5 weeks
This the one that got swept under the rug. Seriously, I don't remember a trailer; I don't remember it getting covered anywhere.
I’m not finished with it yet but this so far as has been the best season I’ve seen in so long. I haven’t been this excited to get watching since hotel. It’s not very scary but tbh this show has never been scary to be but just has creepy aesthetics basically which is fine by me. I enjoy horror adjacent stuff more often than actual horror.

This is not getting me excited at all, and the reason is, it's trying too hard to get me excited. I'm so over Bondage skulls and chains now, it's like every horror show now. And AHS needs to get back to it's roots.
AHS has not felt the same since Apocalypse. I’m hoping I’m wrong, but as a horror fan, I’m not particularly excited about NYC. The early seasons (1-8) with the great core cast were so good. The last 2 seasons (1984 and Double Take), just felt so different and the magic was gone for me. 1984 was missing so much of the core cast, which was probably why, and Double Take was just bad. I’m hoping this is good and they can bring back the magic.
