Okay Russ, your video here was a big help. I'd been looking at this bench for about a year now and didn't think that it could be worth much for that price, but after watching this video I went to Harbor Freight and got one for $119.00. I added the Rockler casters and will be using your idea for the modification to the top as well. Thanks for the help.
you won't be disappointed - I use mine every day, and after 3 years is still holding up great - even mounted my Dewalt contractors table saw to it. Can't beat this workbench for the price
Nice addition, I just purchased one, going to assemble it this weekend. Makes me feel good about buying this after seeing the kind of shop you have, you could build anything. Thanks for sharing this.
I have two of the HF work benches.($119 each) I have them back to back. I use mine for out feed table for my Rigid table saw and work bench. I also done away with the fiber board and the drawer slides. I replaced fiberboard with 1/2" plywood and better drawer slides. While building the second one I put all 4 drawers on one side and added a shelf on the other side. Also the vise is not very good. Not the best work bench but hey I really like mine. They have served me well for the last 18 months.
Russ, loved the video, you've got great presentation, very clear and concise. How's the bench holding up almost 3 years into it? I have been weighing building my own, but I keep hearing pretty good things on this HF one.
+Rich W After 3 years of use, the bench is holding up really well - no issues at all. For the money, you cannot go wrong with this bench. ( not a paid endorsment )
Larry Fanella I did not - Its pretty sturdy without glue - I have been using it for several years with no problem - but glueing joints is always a good idea
Great video. I purchased the Harbor Freight Windsor Workbench and would like to upgrade the drawer slides with full extension slides. Any suggestions where I can find slides to fit?
Great video, I am going to make the same mods on the same workbench I just purchased from Harbor Freight. How is your workbench holding up after 3 years?
there should be a black plastic catch on the drawer slides. if you take a screw driver and press in on the catch, it allows the drawer to come out fully
+Jesus Cota Yes, its a Rigid Contractor saw. Don't know the model number because I sold it. Its a great saw- Home Depot still carries it. It's their only contractor saw that has a built in caddy.
Anyone who buys a $120 Chinese workbench from HF and then grabs a $50 piece of oak from Lowes for a "gotta have tool caddy", obviously is being subsidized by all of the vendors who names are dropped throughout this commercial thinly disguised as a how-to video. Shame on you.

thanks for all the info Russ....looks like the least expensive thing in your shop is the workbench itself lol

Thanks for posting the video. I'm putting one together now....One question: Did you use glue when you assembled the workbench itself?
Larry Fanella I did not - Its pretty sturdy without glue - I have been using it for several years with no problem - but glueing joints is always a good idea
well done mate. what do you work as a joiner ?
Great video. I purchased the Harbor Freight Windsor Workbench and would like to upgrade the drawer slides with full extension slides. Any suggestions where I can find slides to fit?
That would be an excellent upgrade - The size is not standard for sure - I would check with MLCS Woodworking or Rockler.
Great video, I am going to make the same mods on the same workbench I just purchased from Harbor Freight. How is your workbench holding up after 3 years?
It's held up really well. Just added a table saw mount to it. I still highly recommend this bench.
what router table and router are you using?
Russ, how do I remove the drawers. Mine open less than half way, and I want to see if I can fix them, but I can't get them out.
there should be a black plastic catch on the drawer slides. if you take a screw driver and press in on the catch, it allows the drawer to come out fully
Nice
Nice job on the mod...btw what watch is that
It's a Casio G shock - great watch that can take a beating.

No sponsors here - Just making a workbench more useful.
As a side not, that Chinese bench has taken a ton of abuse and is still holding up great
