No, zkalangaman is now open. It's part of Palompon, Leyte .The island is closed for a month each year for cleaning up and rejuvenate. Really enjoy watching your blogs. Living here in Los Angeles, the only way to update ourselves of the current event back home aside from the mainstream media is through blogs from various bloggers.

They put tissue on the top of softdrink bottle opening to wipe off any dirty residue from the metal cap. Sometimes it has some metal rust. Also if u dont want to hold the wet bottle - use the tissue.

The tissue over the bottle is so you can wipe down the lip of the bottle in case the cap got rusted and leaves any rust on the lip of the bottle you use the ittuse to wipe it off.
Nice burgers and hotdogs ... I am feeling hungry right now mate! It is normal to wrap the bottle with a piece of tissue because usually it is used t wipe by twisting the tissue at the mouth of the bottle and it also keeps flies from landing on it before you drink it. If you know bottled drinks (incl beers), the mouth area can be rather dirty .. depending on how the bottles are stored prior to being refrigerated. Think of rats poop and pee and other creepy crawly critters stuffs :) You should try the "Lucky Me!" Spicy Pancit Canton instant noodles (red packaging) ... it is really nice. 1 pack is too little for me ... usually I will cook 2 packs :P

While in Malapascua, you might want to take a boat to Kalangaman island, a white sandbar about 2 hours from Malapascua. I think there's a regular trip going to the island and back on the same day. Enjoy!!

I think Kalangggaman Island is open. British YT vloggers "Feels LIke Home" recently went there and loved it. You should double-check with the locals. Kalanggaman Island is part of Palompon, Leyte but just an hour's boat ride from Malapascua. Keep safe😷

Hey Mergim it's funny, Kalanggaman is not actually closed. I don't know what that guy was talking about. I went there last Feb. Although it was via Palompon, Leyte (you can access the island thru different options). Because I was staying in Tacloban, Leyte for 3 months. Life in Cebu was really difficult after the typhoon so we had to move there temporarily.
1:33 there's about 120 spoken languages here in the Philippines and only 5 or 6 languages are known and used mostly in much bigger city such as Manila, Cebu and Davao on the south and Ilocos and Pampanga on the north...surprisingly even tagalog which is our common language still varies depends what part of Tagalog province you are, they use different terms or word like for example for a word bed...in tagalog we have a term higaan, katre or kama..

Wait till he discovers minute burger, 2 burgers for something around ₱90 or sumthing, 180 for 2 burgers in my opinion is still expensive considering even 2 jollibee, or 2 wendys, or 2 mcdonald burgers cost only within ₱100, although to be fair Malapascua is a small island far from Cebu and most of their resources have to be shipped from Cebu and its a resort type of island so it is to be expected plenty of foreigners and vacationers ripe for the pickings which is good for business, and as someone who has been to Malapascua it is fairly expensive although nothing that would tear my wallet apart and still it is worth every penny to experience the beauty and fun of Malapascua

I tried asking every local, they all told me it’s closed until the 1st august, even the official municipality Facebook page says it’s closed
