I will be graduating with my BSN-RN before the end of the year and want to be better at conducting the interview and screening for patients with possible thoughts of suicide and/or mental health issues. I feel like our training is inadequate and as Dr. Shea states around 9:10 of the video, if you're not trained or not trained well, the question is never posed. I don't want to be a nurse who never inquires or who lets a patient slip through the cracks. I think suicide awareness and the discussion is so important! Thank you for making this publicly available!
This guy is simply amazing. I’m currently reading the third edition of his book, and not only is it a truly engaging read, but it’s simply mind blowing in the way Shea explain the art and beauty behind human communication
