1.7 million needs to have more bedrooms!

Love the flow and the small touches of this! The granite they chose is spectacular. The basement does NOT need an island however it’s just taking up space for a pool table or other fun things!

Beautiful finishes. Great kitchen and pantry. Small primary bedroom. Secondary bedrooms on different floor from primary bedroom could create problems if there are young children. Also having kitchen and dining room so far removed from outdoor kitchen could be a hassle when moving food up/down stairs.

Very nice place. I'd put a large Guest Closet in the Office. Make it a little Reading Room yet a place for Guests to use as they arrive and need a place to hang up coats and sit to take off their shoes.
The small Pantry could be a place for an Elevator. I believe you'd come down into the Utility Room area. A hall to it could be added so Guests would not see the furnaces and such. I'd make a Laundry Room in that area too, get it out of that potential Bedroom.

I am always interested in the mechanical room, but maybe the majority of homeowners aren't interested ? I noticed waiter treatment/filtration/softener equipment, which to me means extremely hard water and maybe particulates in the city water. But I would have that installed anyways regardless of home location. I noticed oil fracking operations going on the southwestern side of the state, so water table contamination concerns.

This isn't actually in Lincoln, but just outside in the country. They are most likely in a rural water district or maybe even have their own well.

Wassup Tim?! I am spoiled, I love the idea of having a sink in the garage, don't have to track dirt and mud in, I can just rinse my shoes off and go in.

Maybe what you are calling a "second" pantry is for your cleaning products and brooms/mops and vaccuum cleaner etc. I love the pantry in this house and the kitchen isn't too bad. The office at the entrance doesn't have a place to hang clothes. It only has shelves. I think it should remain an office. It is not a very big room.

Might even be a surplus pantry. My brother and sister in law have one. They use it to store the bulk items they get from Costco and Sam’s.

They all are pretty much the same because these homes are “designed” to appeal to the masses while being profit makers for the builders. They are the fast fashion of the residential world. It’s not to say there isn’t a place for this type of thing. There’s obviously a big market for it. I would love to see a home with a practical layout that doesn’t require that you either live to clean or are able to hire a regular cleaning staff to maintain.

Have you given any thought to showing significantly lower price point homes? I think that angle could get you some new viewers especially with the economy as crap as it is! Just a thought ❤

Only three bedrooms for that price? No separate laundry room either. Otherwise it's a beautiful home.

Gorgeous house. I have noticed that many of the houses don’t have anywhere to hang dresses in the master closet. I don’t like the idea of having my kids sleep in the basement. I would want them near my room. I guess the builders don’t have teenagers or their teenagers would never sneak out 😂

Is there not a dedicated laundry room? So everybody has to wash/dry their clothes in either the master closet or the exercise room?

Can’t a 1.7 million house create a space that is more convenient for the bedrooms of other family members?
The wardrobe is always the same size. Have you forgotten that there are four seasons in a year?
    Perfect living room and kitchen
The backyard space and excellent view make people feel happy
1.7 million doesn't seem like enough to add a full bath to the other bedrooms

  • @johnlabus7359

You really can't use that main study as a bedroom unless you were going to either interfere with that master bedroom to shower or go downstairs. Either way, that's not the sort of thing you would expect to have to do if you were spending $1.7M in Nebraska. Also, did I miss an actual laundry room, or are you only options are the master closet (awkward IMO on carpet) or in that exercise room? Lastly, they put one of the all-in-one Fiberglas tub/shower units in a 1.7M dollar house. Seriously?
The basement and outdoor space is great; it just needs a better house sitting on top of it.

So the sportsmen can only hang out during daylight hours. You can’t have the giant TVs on while the KIDS are sleeping on the other side of that wall lol. I like a lot of things in that home. But there also some things I would change. I do not like open shelving in the kitchen. That’s a lot of cleaning to do on a regular basis. I am not a fan of the backsplash and countertops and fireplace. I prefer plainer stuff. The fireplace wastes too much space. I want bookshelves and a. Simple electric fireplace with a mantel. I also need a place for the tv. I hate it above the mantle. I loved the master closet.

This house is nice but a problem if you have little children or maybe even teenagers. It’s like you’re hiding the kids away! Why does everyone want or need a 4 car garage? Put the bedrooms upstairs and wrap the driveway on the side and put the garage on the bottom floor! At least this house doesn’t emphasize the garages as opposed to the front door!

How do you change the bulbs in the light fixture over the stairway? Not easy! Have to rent some special lift, plus hire someone to do it. I ran into that same problem in my house with 24 foot ceiling. Can't find anyone to do it, because they can't find the equipment.

Strange that they need such a huge fridge and Freezer with just three bedrooms!
17:59 That is a Freezer. The upstairs freezer is so big I’m surprised they would need another one. Must be active hunters.

I love this house!! Love the dark colors, the kitchen / pantry. Not much I don't like except the pool.....I dealt with a pool (2 of them) for a very long time. Too much work. One reason I moved and downsized was to not deal with a swimming pool anymore. When my kids were there, they loved it, but it became my dogs pool. They really loved it.
