    I’m always surprised by how aggressively some people brush their hair. Many of them probably spend a lot of money on premium hair care brands and then brush like they are grooming a horses’ tail. Also, I was entertained!

    • @KAdams-dr4pc
      @KAdams-dr4pc 5 місяців тому +13

      I agree too many people brush their hair to aggressive.
      But in this case, I believe it's the kind of brush she is using.
      It sounds loud which makes it sound bad .... but I have the same brush as her and I am very careful when I brush my hair ... and it sounds the same way. Respect to you.

    • @ChallieWallie
      @ChallieWallie 5 місяців тому +28

      If you brush a horse tail that aggressively, it won't have much of a tail after a while and you may have some broken legs.

    • @goodemily

      It always drives me crazy. I am so careful when I brush mine. I never understand why they do it so aggressively.

      Ma’am I promise we don’t even brush our horse’s tails like that. 😂😂😂 their tail breaks off and your trainer or barn mom will not be happy( or me if it is my farm since long full tails are everything and fakes/extensions are super expensive)

    • @sydwhatley
      @sydwhatley 5 місяців тому +1

      I used to brush rough then learned that it causes breakage and then had to chop a bunch of damaged hair off (just damaged from brushing never dyed my hair). So now I’m super careful when brushing.

    I was yelling at her to please put down the scissors like she could hear me. I actually liked the first bang. I used to be a cosmetologist and I get nervous cutting my own hair. But how adorable is her baby! She said mom I'm going to do the same cut on my hair in a few years. 😂

  • @justajeepgirlandherdogs
    @justajeepgirlandherdogs 5 місяців тому +59

    I will never understand why people don't cut longer first. As a Cosmetologist, When someone has bangs for the first time, I even do this. You can always go shorter.
    And she has a huge cowlick....it's not going to lay right unless a lot of hair. A stylist would have warned her.

      I have a cowlick on my crown, and on the very front of my right side (bang area), and I can confirm NEVER cut short, or you will be rocking the 'alfalfa' look for at least 6 months! (Non Americans google Alfalfa of The Little Rascals)🤗

    • @plumdutchess
      @plumdutchess 5 місяців тому +4

      I have a cowlick in the same place. I have bangs, but they're sideswept, since the part falls naturally at the cowlick. I work with it now, but in the past I kept wanting full across bangs, which just don't work with my hair.

    • @justajeepgirlandherdogs
      @justajeepgirlandherdogs 5 місяців тому +6

      @plumdutchess Perfect. I think that is what some people don't understand. Not everyone can have everything they want (for example, platinum). Hair has other ideas. That's why wigs can be a great alternative.

  • @LuccaAce
    @LuccaAce 5 місяців тому +23

    I asked her out loud, "what did you think was going to happen?" My rule of thumb is that I don't pick the scissors up more than three times when trimming my bangs. If I'm still not happy after the third time I pick them up, I just wait for a few weeks until I try again. I also know exactly what I want when I start, too, which helps

    Thank you for your videos and advice ❤. I am sick of my own hair and have watched many hair cutting tutorials by hairdressers and thought “ it looks easy I could do that “ but then I watch you, and I put down the scissors and phone my hairdresser!
    There’s a reason hairdressers are trained, it’s a skill I know I haven’t got, when you start talking about angles etc. my brain shuts down 😂.
    I’m a nurse and I wouldn’t do a 10 minute video about how to put sutures in someone and want others to have a go!

    This is the first time I truly understand the why of the techniques , such as going back further.
    Thank You!
    My last hair appointment I was trying to explain how I DID NOT want my bangs to do or look like and I said "let me look for a picture " but I felt anxious because he seemed in a hurry or his hearing is going because I left with the How I do not like my bangs... I saw how he was making the first cut and I couldn't believe the scissors going in the deep and short. It was too late to speak at that point. He turned walked away a few steps and cut another piece and done. I was just stunned... I had a heavier bang that I did not want at all. Felt like I had to wear ny hair up because I couldn't figure out how to style other than a ball cap or hair up. I had to figure out how to style it differently than I had been which is working but the disappointment of it all. There was a style I so badly wanted to have and to ask if he could do it but just a longer version so I could see if I wanted to actually go shorter. Now it is impossible to even do the shorter version because the bangs are way to short. It takes my hair years to grow out. Very very slow. I have finer very wavy hair so now I have to blow out straight every day. He is good but he seems to be losing interest in the profession. How do I talk when I get worried I am talking too much...

      I have a hard time explaining what I want, too. I don't know the correct words to use, I guess. I have been cutting my own hair since covid and I like it better than any cut I ever paid for. I have fine thin hair and I don't use product.

    I love your videos so much and you make me miss Western Europe. My late husband was Dutch and also had to learn that wetten isn’t a word. It is sweet and has charming memories for me but the word is always wet. She wet her hair. She will wet her hair. My hair is wetter but yours is the wettest. It is hard to remember because dampen is correct. You always teach me something new AND bring back fun memories.

    I find it funny when ppl cut there bangs at home! Bc the main reason ppl do anything to there hair at home is bc of price! Its hella expensive in the states to get your hair done! But if your just getting bangs its like $10! So why are all the at home bang cutters just not going to get them done right at a salon??? At that point i think its laziness! Well if you that lazy to go down the street to get your bangs done for $10 and maybe 15 minutes out your day then you deserve really funny bangs in the end!! Lol Serves you right then!! Lol

    How many fringes in one go?!
    Is it me or does it look like the rest of her hair is a bit uneven?
    Bless her cotton socks. God loves a tryer. X

    If people do not know how to cut hair should go to a salon. It’s going to cost more in the long run to fix it.

    I really admire your patience. This was hard to watch. Maybe she should spend money on a haircut instead of a tattoo and a piercing.
