@@awldune Hahahaha It's true! I don't remember how I find the name of the tricks, I think that UA-cam recommended some videos after I watch some speedruns.
@@ticgameplays3389 LOL I got the mockball down mostly but no where close to the hyperball or short charge. I'm working on this one but I think it's just a matter of practice and timing. I feel so impatient and entitled for feeling like I should be able to do these things that take speed runners years of practice because I picked up the game in 94 lol. It's so frustrating spending hours practicing and trying to nail these techniques but so satisfying once you get a feel for it and actually start applying it.
I really really need to learn how to do this, and maintain my shinespark for that room before draygon, where you have to use grapple beam to climb. It's always a living hell to do.
I could never get that right, no matter how many times i tried, So i tried using the high jump boots to get to the highest cliff near that, then i set off a power bomb, then i did a spinning jump slightly to the right and then the left, and it landed in the opening made by the power bomb, for the energy tank & 2 missiles.
Oh man THANK YOU THANK YOU AND THANK YOU. Couldn’t get that shinespark to activate in that tiny of a space. Did exactly what you mentioned and a million times easier to get to that spot. Great comment and share
When fighting Draygon, you have more space than here. You can use this version of the short charge or the "two taps" version: you tap one time and then hold run button, always when Samus' foot touches the ground (same I used on Wrecked Ship "shortcut"). You can choose any of them.
I have a question, because I saw another tutorial, can I just hold the run button and just tap the direction I want to go enough so it reaches that part of the run animation in a shorter area? it seemed to work in the other tutorial but I can't replicate it
Yes, it works. But if you are going down a slope, you may jump and lose it. That's why I think tap run button and hold direction is better. But both work.
You forgot to perform GGG aka Green Gate Glitch. I thought you might have it in your video but seem you dont have it. So can you do that? I have hard time to perform that but it is very hard because I didnt do this perform for long time. I feel like I am doing wrong. They have the video but they didnt do slow down like your video do.
why the hell is this so complex to do? And the game give you no hints, no tutorial whatsoever which lets you know you have an ability like this. How am i supposed to figure it out myself?
@@qwerty2485 no it's not a glitch. i managed to do it but by looking at the videos. It's not as hard as the wall jump but still timing is hard. It maybe because i'm playing with the keyboard
@@lacreatura4737 i don't think it's a glitch. It doesn't look like a glitch at all. You need it in order to reach some areas in game that you can't otherwise
@@Geckotr shortcharge is 100% a glitch based on how the code registers that you have run enough to reach boost speed (you only need to be holding b down for those 4 running frames). Literally nothing in the game REQUIRES it, but its good for speed running to get things early. For instance, this section could be done without even shinesparking if you had space jump and screw attack
Short charge is a glitch, but shinespark isnt. Short charge isn’t necessary to get any item or to any place in the game, but makes it easier to do so in a lot of cases where you wouldn’t otherwise be able to shinespark. For example, getting to the wrecked ship normally requires the grapple beam to swing over the water, but you can short charge to be able to shinespark over the water instead, letting speedrunners skip grapple beam. Not required to beat or 100% the game, but useful if you want to skip certain items or just save time in general.
This is one of the biggest "how TF did he do that" things for me when watching speedruns. Thanks for the tutorial.
Happy to help! I love this game and I'm sure that a lot of people want to speedrun it, but don't know how to start. Well, I'm starting!
@@ticgameplays3389 One thing about searching for tutorials is that if you are a n00b you don't know the name of the tricks you want to learn.

is it easy to do ? or it take hours to do it ?

But when you're not speedrunning you can just use Space Jump to get there?
I'm gonna try it out with draygon

WAIT WHAT
Am I mistaken or do all three still take the same amount of space to achieve?
Both methods need the same amount of space
I saw some speedruners open the gate too, how can you do that?
I think it's not this gate. I think it's the Wrecked Ship without Grappling Beam gate.
whats the HUD patch?
It's a rom. It's the SM practice rom.
