Ben has been the Steelers quarterback since I can remember learning about football. It’s gonna be weird not seeing him play next year. The NFL is gonna miss him.
Ohio will not miss the Ohio native Ben's prime years of beating up Ohio teams. The 2021 Ben was much more to our liking, at least in the southwestern part of the state.

It’s hard seeing a great rival go. It’s what makes rivalries so much fun. I’m a Steelers fan and I’m thrilled the browns have got a good team. It’s no fun if the games aren’t down to the last drive. Honestly I wasn’t even mad last year you beat us in the playoffs. Upset yes, but I’ve been watching football since I was 4 in the early 80’s and the turnpike rivalry has always been my favorite. I just hope we can get a good qb to keep it going next year. But it’ll be a while before we have another franchise qb.

The stats don’t matter in this regard, what matters is Big Ben saying goodbye to city and place where he brought back so many great memories and then, getting a win is something that’s really emotionally touching to see. What a way to go out on top!!!!

We tend to forget that this guys been winning games for 18 years. Over that time I have seen him pull off amazing victories, games you never thought you could win. Beat up and bleeding and still he wins the game. True football warrior. One of the best ever thanks for the everything Ben Rothisbeger. Steeler Nation.

Some Legendary games against the Bengals, Ravens and Browns but 1 particular game against the Bengals about 4 years ago was insane. Thank you Ben!

As a Ravens fan it's sad to see him retire. I will miss playing him twice a year. Win or lose those games were intense and whoever won those games earned it. To me this felt like when Ray Lewis and Ed Reed played their last home game together in the 2012 Wild Card Game against the Colts. After that game was over and those 2 took a lap around M&T I started crying. Its the same feeling for Steelers fans. He was the man that brought a 2nd glory age to the Steel City. Big Ben turned that team from a unit that couldn't win the big one into a 2 time Super Bowl Champion in his tenure. Not to mention this was likely the final game with Heinz Field as the naming rights to their stadium which makes this even more emotional. I will be honest, I would be honored to see the Steelers beat us next week at M&T Bank Stadium, and the Jaguars to beat the Colts so that Pittsburgh can have one more chance to send him out on top. Farewell Ben, thank you for giving us 18 years of a competitive and respected rivalry.

@@bruinsteel This is one of the few times I won't feel angry if we lost to the Steelers. It would be sad not only because he made everyone in the AFC North fear him year in and year out. Not because of the Ravens likely missing the playoffs but because of the circumstances I just mentioned.
As a Steelers fan, Ravens were our biggest rival but the one we always respected. The Bengals we had no respect for. Ravens was mutually agreed it would be a tough, gritty, fair game. No dirty hits or personal shots. Respect from 412💛🖤

I was 9 about to turn 10 and it makes me want to cry thinking he’s basically been the only QB I’ve known for the Steelers. I was a fan for 1 year before they got Big Ben with Tommy Maddox but I was so young I don’t remember too much of it before Big Ben got here

Neither team is going to the SuperBowl this year, but damn if that wasn't the epitome of AFC N football for one last ride for Ben. GG's

I think the most important part of this video and story, is that at the end of the day even the young Cleveland browns give the man the respect he’s earned.
some of those young Cleveland players were playing middle and high school football when Ben was in the NFL. they've probably looked up to him since they were kids.

Loved how his teammates, especially on defense, played their hearts out. Ben said before the game that the win is the only thing that he wants. Ben played QB his way and took so many hits early in his career. He represented Pittsburgh as a tough old school QB. Hats off to him!

I'll take the respect, but will hate that pussycat Vontaze Burfict forever for denying the Steelers a shot at another ring. Steelers may have won that game on Vontaze giving AB CTE, but they sorely missed him in a winnable game against Denver next round.
Im a chiefs fan, but damn I couldn’t help but tear up at the end of the game when Ben was saying his goodbyes. Yes we all root for our specific teams, but at the end of the day this is a game that all of us love and watch for entertainment and the guys that play it to its highest level deserve respect no matter what team they play for. Ben is a legend and a future hall of famer and the league is gonna feel different without him. I grew up with him in the league even though I didn’t route for him. Congrats on a great career Ben!

What an emotional win this was!! Guys played with a lot of heart and energy the O-line did great, Najee had his best game as pro (so far) and of course the defense played lights out, Ben probably didn't have his best game statistically but it was good to see him getting the win in his last home game with the steelers. Deffently gonna be weird not seeing him as the starting QB anymore but in the end i'm just greatful for what he's done for this team throughout his 18 year carrer. Way to go Ben!

But they could barely score against the Chiefs (it was almost a major shut out and we knew they were gonna lose to them) so they aren't a good team. They need a lot of work. Their saving grace was the Brown's ain't very good compared to the Chiefs.

@@ciaranselva He is averaging like 4 catches for about 50 yards per game. He has gotten some TDs, but hardly thriving. DPJ has more impact on games than OBJ at this point in a career. He's a no.3 receiver at best on most rosters with any talent.

One of the most painful games I've ever watched. Baker just threw incompletion after incompletion and Stefanski wouldn't give the ball to Chubb.
Stefanski's behavior has become less and less understandable (or defensible) the longer it has been obvious Baker is struggling mightily to do what is asked of him. You guys over in Cleveland had BETTER be hoping and praying you DON'T have a "fraud" obsessed with their "system" like Adam Gase and Matt Nagy turned out to be!

I still remember that final drive against the Jags in week 11 five years ago that ended in a touchdown from Ben, and successfully completing the 17 point comeback. I was so emotional that day, and even though I am a more recent Steelers fan, I still got to thank Ben for all the amazing moments. THANK YOU BEN🖤💛👑

As a Steelers fan since I was young and growing up watching Ben, it will be weird to not see him after this season. He has shown Pittsburgh, the organization, his teammates, and the fans his heart and soul for the team during his 18 years in the NFL. Thank you Big Ben for those amazing years and memories.

I feel like it would have ended better if Tomlin just let Ben go out there and throw a bomb Hail Mary since even if the browns picked it and scored a TD they still would have won. I was born in January 2005 as a lifelong hard-core Pittsburgh Steelers fan he’s been the face of the franchise my entire life I cried after that game not even gonna lie thank you Ben 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛. Also TJ Watt is the defensive player of the year and it’s not even close anymore he’s missed nearly 200 snaps and is one sack behind tying the single-season record. Jesus bless y’all.

But this was all the Steelers tonight and just wow. What a way for Big Ben to close out his career at Heinz field by owning a team like he always has. Najee Harris running it out with a TD to close it and one of his defensive players intercepting it just so Big Ben could have one last snap on his home field. I know he has another game next week at Baltimore but honestly, man thank you for delivering such great performances dating back to the Packers SB and the Cardinals one too. What a ride it’s been these last 18 years.

Steelers fan here - I Can appreciate the browns playing a clean and solid game and respecting Ben’s last home game. They could’ve played to mathematically eliminate us or whatever because division rivalry, but they didn’t for bens last home game.

Coaches are starting to expect every kick under 60 to be made, used to be 50, now to be a kicker you have to consistently make 50+ kicks, just look at some of the other games, record at Lambeau in January and McManu made a 61 yarder this week, Tucker made a 66 and Joey Slye is 6/6 for 50+. Unbelievable kicking.

To see the body of work over a 18 season career that Big Ben had in Pittsburgh is truly remarkable. To winning two Super Bowls,appearing in a third,to making the pro bowl 6 times,it has been a great career for Big Ben. When it's all said and done,Ben will be wearing a gold jacket in Canton Ohio!

A Giants fan here. I teared up for Ben. More than I did for Eli. After his early career off the field mistakes he seemed to turn it around. He is one of the greats. I would bet on him retiring for sure. Hope they make the playoffs.
