Thank you so much for this. Your presentation is so thorough and really gives a lot of help on organizing a garden . . . I've just discovered the Agastache and it is THE favorite of bumblebees--and the specialist bees and butterflies love it as well. I'm having a terrible time keeping my milkweeds alive, although it's a brand-new garden, so I'll just wait and see.

Changing planting density can change the predetation levels, but they did also mention nets. Insects can get through bird nets if that's something you want to try. You might want to limit that to one or two clusters of plants or trees and not the whole garden, but it gets around the issue of bringing them indoors.

Greetings from Roseville Michigan, I'm in my 1st year in building a butterfly garden, but in my 4th year in rearing monarch butterflies, I have a definite interest in taking it to another level rearing black swallowtails, I'm starting with Rue,have 4 plants from pots thanks to Ray Wiengards located at 22 Romeo Plank Rd,my interest is doing it right the first time, any tips would help including the soil.❤️
