Leppävirran Oravikoskella on tukinpudotuspaikka, johon tuodaan tukkeja rekkalasteittain. Siellä tukkiniput nostetaan veteen ja kootaan lautoiksi. Tukkilautat uitetaan sitten vesistöjä pitkin noin 250 kilometrin päähän, Saimaan eteläosiin, mm Joutsenoon ja Lappeenrannan seudulle.

There is a log drop-off spot at Oravikoski village near Kuopio, Finland. Truckloads of logs are taken there, then lifted into the water neatly bundled, and formed into rafts. These rafts are floated down the waterway for about 250 km (150 miles) to the southern regions of Lake Saimaa, to the vicinities of the towns of Joutseno and Lappeenranta.

Kaldnesin valmistamaa kurottajaa on ajettu 10v sen jälkeen Svetruckin roikkopihtistä 7v ja sieppoakin joskus aiemmin muutama vuos.
Tuo kiikkerän näköinen paatti on mielestäni tosi COOL. Sympaattinen ja reipasliikkeinen. Tietäisikö joku kertoa siitä jotain? Esim. paatin paino? Saisiko tuollaista jostain käytettynä ostaa?
