Thanks, Dennis, for letting us see some of your irises. I'm impressed with how neat and well kept your iris beds are. That took a lot of work to build those raised beds and amend the soil with manure and sand. I would've liked to see more irises with less talk, though. It was rather annoying when Bud would ask a question, and then move on to the next question or comment before Dennis could finish answering.
The research I have read says once the pine needles breakdown for the plant to uptake any nutrients the acid has already disappeared so will not harm your plants. It’s a fantastic mulch!
This was an awesome video! Answered all my question except one. Does Mr. Dreyer sell any of his plants? Love the fact that he addresses clay soil too and exactly how much sun he gets. I live here in Southeast/Coastal Georgia. We have really hot sun and most plants that need full sun actually need a bit of shade here. Also loved the host and this channel. I watch for other varieties of flowers as well!
Kincaid online for the stands, I like the stainless steel 8 inch. Then the Brother label maker was from Home Depot with black on white, one half inch letters. -- Bud Qualk
when i planted some irises, they grew leaves but no bloom. friend says this was because i completely covered the rhizome, should have left it slightly exposed with the roots completely covered.

I'm struggling with mine. I moved most of them to an indoor grow tent to try and save them from rot.
I have some light purple irises that smell like grape popsicles.
Me too, our kids always said they smelled like grape Kool-Aid

This guy sounds just like John Goodman
This was actually packed full of great information and more useful than most gardening videos online these days. thanks for the vids.
The host went full on fan girl.
The host a bit too giggly. Maybe he is smoking some plants?
That guy is a bit annoying. I want to listen to this, not hear him, whatever he is laughing at.
Why the nervous giggles over nothing funny?
