Hi Jess *☀️* I love your down home & world views 💕 Just think, one day in Heaven you will meet those folks from the other side of the world, AND we who love you will come see your Gorgeous Gardens❣
I did my best to find the seeds after seen the Kajari in your vlogs. I never succeeded here in The Netherlands to produce a melon from my garden. And now i have 8 growing on 2 plants!!! So happy to have found you and your inspiration!!!! Bless you all!
Kajari melons are definitely on my list for next year, I can't wait. Ben's enthusiasm is infectious, My 5 year old watches y'all and then immediately wants to go out to the garden and try things.. So thank you and God Bless y'all
My Son in law is from North India. He was so surprised & delighted to learn that we've discovered these melons in the U.S. He says they grow wild in India and they never have to plant them. He says they come up wild in the corn fields too, and grow up the stalks. They eat them green AND orange. When they're still green and not quite ripe, his Grandmother makes a "very yummy" chutney out of them while they're still sour & just slightly sweet. He also says Kajari is pronounced Kah-jah-REE.
Me too! lol They almost all died from pests, I thought I would be lucky if I got 1 melon, but several plants made a come back and I have a at least 5 melons that I can see ! Excited!
I haven't kept up with your show for a while because life gets in the way. But, after watching this episode (if that's what you call it) I was reminded about why. Why I love your channel. it is your natral lyrical thoughts that speaks the words in my heart too. So thank you, and i hope to meet you someday.
I like your story with the Kajari melon. You’re such a great storyteller, I wish I had your skill. Your skill at gardening would be pretty useful too, but I’m still learning, so I’ll get there eventually 😊 Thank you so much for making these videos, they’re super inspiring to me.
❤❤❤I love Benjamin!! He is DEFINITELY your little gardening partner!! I get a kick out of how he knows the names of the fruit and just the funny stuff he says!!
Kajari melon seeds ran out before I could get them. But next year I will order early so I can grow them. And hopefully save seeds to pass on. I love the way they look. Earths goodness for all.
I really appreciate you teaching your children that spiders are friends! I wish more people did that, too many people kill them out of fear. They're such great, yet misunderstood little creatures.
Second this. I was brought up being taught that spiders were to be killed any time you found them. Yeah, I don't like them crawling on me but we catch them and put them outside if they are found in the house. I'd much rather have them around so they take care of all the other nasty pests. Let nature take it's course and stay out of its way.
Hi from Scotland ,I have been binge watching today... those Melons look so yummy... I love tomatoes canny eat them fresh anymore. .. I.B.S... my dad had a greenhoose and when we were wee we had to whistle so he kent we werent eating the small yellow tomatoes... they were my fav... ... my fav piece/ sandwich was.. fresh cut lettuce from the garden... washed ... and salad cream... memories... he did grow all oor veg /tattie etc... and flowers and some went to the church oan a Sunday... Oh my goodness Jess!!! I just had my very first kajari melon and it has literally changed my life and gave me this incredible joy for the end of summer and it's sweet gifts!
Very well said. Great story. Goes to show how something so simple becomes so sought-after. I want some. I grew dragon eggs and hara Madhu melon from baker creek for the first time. Dragon eggs are amazing. Melon is growing now. Can't wait to taste it. You have also turned me onto the cherry tomatoes (blueberry) . Thank you so much.
This video was just wonderful! To me it epitomzes what gardening is all about!Ben is part garden gnome for sure, he's not dirty, he is communing with the Lord in his happy place! You and Sweet Miah make such aweet babies! ALL of them!🦋💓👍
Having a tough week. Just want you to know that in addition to informative and inspiring, your channel is a great comfort to me. Thank you for sharing.
You and your family are the reason I decided to plant Kajari melons. It has started to symbolize Unity and Family. Thank you for you videos and for sharing your family with me
You have to go camping with your family and get away from the farm! Camping is part of the family hearth! I love watching your family and you teach me so much
What a beautiful story about the (Kajari?) melon. I will have to seek those out. Thankyou for sharing the story. I’m just starting my first garden, in containers. You’ve inspired me, thankyou. Please keep sharing especially for us just starting and with much to learn.
Thank you for this story about the melon. For many reasons, this was just what I needed to hear today. I love watching your gardening / farm life testimony clips.
Your Kajari melons inspired me to place one more seed order! Yours look orange inside, but I've seen others that are green. I just checked Baker's Creek and they say theirs are green, now. I will grow them and see what I get at the end of summer, but I sure would like an orange-fleshed variety. 🧡
I so appreciate your commentary about the many individuals who were part of saving and preserving the Kajari Melon. It illustrates the importance of passing on gardening knowledge and tradition to the next generation of gardeners...
Your son is so cute and your garden is so inspiring! Just planted Kiku Chrysanthemum melons and waiting to harvest. And I love the pink okra. Gotta find those seeds as well.
I subscribed because i like that you give so much helpful information. Everytime a new video pops up, it has you smiling on the cover. Your smile is beautiful and so is your family. Thanks for sharing your garden.
I planted the kajari melons because of watching you. The plants have gone crazy and I have many melons but none ripe yet. I can't wait. Thanks. Blessings.
I love watching Benjamin in the garden and how enthusiastic he is when he is eating right out of the garden... it does my heart good seeing his beautiful smile !!!
I had this strange, mutant plant that came with my acorn squash seeds. I let it grow out of curiosity. If it weren't for you, Jess, always talking about your kajari melons, I would not have known where to start looking. Sure enough, I got one beautiful kajari melon, but it was a bit more yellowish when it was ripe. I have the seeds curing on a plate, of course! I'm excited for next year!
I’m growing Kajari melons for the 2nd year, and every day I walk out to that arched cattle panel and look for new babies, also to check the progress of the ones that I have growing already, all at different sizes and stages. I’m so excited to share them with new ppl this year, as well, and it’s all because of you Jess! :) Because of you, I’ve tried so many amazing new varieties of tomatoes, peppers, beans, and the list goes on! Because of you, I got my first cattle panel 2 years ago, my Kajari melons. My noodle beans, purple and green hanging beautifully. You introduced me to the Cucamelons, and now I have family growing them too. And I didn’t have much luck last year, but finally this year, I have many Ground Cherry plants growing for the first time ever! I’d never even heard of them before up here in the northern plains. I’ve been a gardener for a long time, but I enjoy my garden so much more, because of you!! God Bless!! 🙏🏼
Can't wait to get to that point in this years garden. Just used your vid to refresh my memory on uppotting tomatoes. Did that tonight. Got 7 super sweets and only one lucid gem made it because somehow a moth larvae got into em in the garage.
I ate my first Ha'Ogen the other day and it was so ripe the outside was orange! The flesh was pure white the whole way to the rind, and it was sweeter than sweet! Had a sweet, floral taste and we thought that the closer you got to the rind, the more it had a hint of a sweet banana flavor. So eager to try growing the Kajari Melon, I need to find seeds for it! The Madhu Ras is also a delicious one to grow that is small.
What a wonderful story about the Kajari melon! I don't grow any, but they sound just perfect! It's a testament to how global the family garden really is and, by extension, our kitchens. Food can bring the world together.
Your sleeve is gorgeous! It looks as though it's telling a tale. Next season, that melon will be in my garden. My son gets so excited to tend his melons. Talk about making a mommas heart burst with pride.
Great story behind the Kajari melon and the seeds. They ARE a beautiful looking fruit, on my must try seed list for next year! Very informative video. Your hair is pretty when up. I am sure much cooler too!
I have never seen Kajari melon, this is my first time doing my own little garden since I lost my house after my husband went to be with the Lord. There are so many new things out there but let me tell you I do appreciate you and all that you share thank you and blessings on you and yours
I started kajari seeds indoors and just last week finally got them in the ground (well, a 10 gallon grow bag)! I am cautiously optimistic...so far they are small starts but healthy and happy looking. I really hope to successfully grow them this summer! I am also trying to grow Mandurang Moon tomatoes. The starts were so big and hearty compared to the thinner, slighter cherry tomatoes I started. I put an egg in each hole, Jess!! 😋
I have 2 Kajari melons, one the size of a golf ball the other looks like a small water balloon, oval shape, 6 plants, I'm in Oregon so I'm happy. Next year I'll start them earlier and warmer then set them out in June. TY JESS Lovely video!
The first time I saw this melon was on your channel. Quickly bought seeds from Baker Creek and I can't wait to grow them next Spring. Thank you for sharing!!!
U couldn't be more right! The Kajari is in my garden this year only because u introduced me to it. Thank u. Same with the Romanesco and German Johnson's, which I've been hoping u'll update us on how they turned out. Much love to u and ur family.
i just ordered 2 packs. i am late stage 4 breast cancer and this is probably my last summer. i really want to grow and taste a kanjari melon. before i pass. GOD IS GOOD! hw provides and instructs and gives us knowledge to pass on.

Melon Theology ❤️👍 isn't it amazing what God shows us in the simplest things when we incline our ear to listen ?? I'm mind blown constantly ✝️❤️👍

You didn't eat tomatoes while on your trip?! That's probably why you got a headache. It was withdrawal symptoms! hehe

I have never in my life heard such an awesome story about a melon. Great job keeping it thriving.

Great garden, nice presentation, fantastic kid! Hats off.
So many more stories to tell of these seeds and of these people. If we recognize that fully it nearly overwhelms us. But that is God.
