The GTWS is coming to an end. The next stop is in the French Basque Country for the last qualifying race of the season. The runners sitting in the bottom of the ranking need to give it their all if they want to finish in the top 11 and go to the final. Who will be in, and who will be out?

Maybe a 50km, a 100km and maybe even a 160km and we'll have all the greatest runners in the world, this would be fantastic to watch!

It seems as if one of the toughest challenges in the GTWS this year was to acclimatise to heat and the Skyrhune final was a good example of that. I'm wondering if athletes who excelled, such as Jan, Johann and Pascal and of course Nienke did specific heat training or if they are just genetically better conditioned to do well in hot and humid conditions
