- Garrett Borns, better known as BØRNS, was raised in Grand Haven Michigan. He studied music at the Interlochen Center for the Arts as well as Grand Rapids Community College and became locally famous. He was very involved in bands, talent shows, and recording music for commercials, and has many supporters and followers from his hometown.
Borns decided to grow his hair out and take inspiration from his surroundings when he moved California and started living in what he calls his 'treetop sanctuary'. Borns finds inspiration from the California scenery to write his synth pop songs, including his November 2014 hit single '10,000 Emerald Pools'. Electric Love is Borns's biggest hit to date, and is featured on his 2015 debut LP, Dopamine.
