Very nice video thank you. 😊 Clean space. Remote targets : subtle adjustments. Close targets : wide shoulder based adjustments. Main death cause, gun fight -> practice aim and pixel placement. Shot by surprise -> practice situational awareness. Always aim at potential targets. What do you think about ADS sensitivity ? I think every FPS should provide a setting for constant screen/mousepad ratio. So that whatever the scope the same point on the monitor should be reached with the same exact mouse travel. 😅 Also a basketball analogy is also to check the precise result of your throw. as it’s not a binary result, was it too high/left… ? And finally, about the mindset, there is a time to practice consciously a skill. But in real conditions, a clear border must be set between skill and will, ie « shoot there » not « maybe change your mouse grip slightly ».
Another overlooked aspect is that it’s okay to be bad at the game. Don’t let your toxic random teammates or even your friends get to you when you mess up. It’s all for fun. Keep playing and improving and take a few tips here and there.
Something important to notice is the difference between different FPS games sensitivities due to their engines. If you play lots of FPS games and keep switching between them, you need to use a Sensitivity conversor online to transfer the one you feel most comfortable with to other shooters. The engine plays a huge part though. For instance, I played Apex legends for about 1-2 years. That game felt WEIRD aim-wise. I couldn't find a sensitivity that felt comfortable. I used a website to convert my CoD and BF sens (which I had really really good aim) to Apex, and still, it felt sluggish. Thats because of the game engine. Im glad my siege aim is really good, I just have issues controlling recoil cause my desk is really small D: Sometimes you're built for more fast paced games like Cod or BF. Sometimes for more "tactical", micro aim games like Siege or CS. Remember that people. There's no point trying all the different coffees in a Coffee shop if your stomach has issues with caffeine. Just go drink something else instead of forcing it into your system.
Best tip is always positivity. I hate that I love this game sometimes but I’ve managed to not tilt in a while and when I take a fat L I take a second and just relax and play again. It makes the game 10x more enjoyable and helps me play better cuz I’m not upset about the 1-5 game I just played.
Also one more thing: Gather and provide as much intel as you could so that you can always be prepared with your aim and crosshair placement. It happened quite some time when I was literally spooked by someone coming from somewhere I didn't expect because I wasn't aware of that. My aim was all around the place when that happends lmao.
that and if you give calls feel free to call the stance too, my teammates have gotten so many easy kills just by me going "he's crouched", "he's lying down". Either having intel for yourself where to aim or giving that intel to teammates helps so much with getting easy picks on people, even more so if you're prefiring someone.
Going through t-hunt and forcing myself to ads vast majority of the time hitting only headshots really helped with my aim. Using a DMR helps self-enforce.
A really good tip for translating aimlab/kovaaks to r6. Disable the right click ADS in the settings, then do EVERY task holding down right click. Most of the time you spend aiming in siege, you're holding right click to ADS. This changes your grip and how you move your mouse. Also try dynamic clicking and tracking.
I feel like my aim is so tied to composure, or rather, lack-thereof. I spend hours upon hours in the shooting range, T-hunt, and FFA. My aim is sharp without the added stressors in which a real game entails, but the second I get get shot at, or know I need to swing on someone, my aim is left in shambles. I can aim train all day long but I wish there was a more direct way to practice having better composure in a gunfight.
I’m similar. Sometimes I play insane and then the next game or session I struggle to get a kill. I guess a lot of it is just dependant on how you can improve your confidence and mental
an other thing is what you think when you play, an exaple is you think about your test for tomorrow or you think about what someone say to you like you trash or you dont know how to play and this stuff and you cant concentrate on the game.
10:25 Most of the times, it's about latency. I go to replays and see if the other one was cheating and it's simply my shots being registered less. The difference is felt most when the enemy is sitting next to the server with 12ms ping and I'm stuck at 70ms. I can literally feel hits being unregistered.
Biggest takeaway was the mindset aspect. So many times, I find myself complaining about people with better mechanics and I start shittalking them for being better when they're simply good at it because they've invested time in it. It becomes a downward spiral from that point because I get killed by mechanically gifted players so I categorized myself as someone who can never aim like them, and I funnel myself into operators that give me an advantage in that department (Monty and Glaz) My worst mindset I ever developed in this game was, "if I cannot enter the building nor take map control without dying every time I face someone, I will just go Monty to not get shot in the first place." Then it creates bad habits like mine where I become a Monty Main.
I was losing motivation in siege after always losing gunfights but now after watching this video I'm gonna really work on practicing my aim this season
I was completely noob in aiming before Siege, I was literally dogshit. My DPI reach 2000, that I can done 360 with one movement of my wrist. Then I just started learning, the most painful struggle was changing my mouse's movements from only wrist to full shoulder on lower DPI. So after around 2k hours in multiplayer and almost 1k hours in lone wolf/trainig grounds I can confirm: You can learn any DPI you want with satisfying results. But You need: time, patient and everyday exercise.
Glad you mentioned aim vs game sense. I used to think my aim was a lot worse, but then I realized that most people are “good” at aiming because they know exactly where I am before rounding the corner. I’ve pulled off some of the most disgusting kills ever by just using a drone before rounding the corner lol
“Your ergonomics are bad” Me who plays on console: “I don’t have such weaknesses.” For real though, when I bought siege my aim was beyond terrible. That’s actually the reason I bought it, I heard somewhere you could win by strategy even if your aim sucked. (Kapkan was my main for those first few months 😂) About a year later, and a whole lot of Gregor videos, and I’m so much better. I’m not pro level by any means of course, but I can actually hit what I’m aiming at consistently now and even pull off some epic TDM plays sometimes. I still worry a lot about missing my shots, but I just tell myself to do my best and it usually works out. These tips are awesome, but overall there’s only three things you really need to get better: time, practice and mindset.
Thank you someone understands, and lets people know that skill comes with practice no easy way out. Just take time to practice, and learn from your mistakes sooner or later you'll became the person you can be. Edit here: Thank you Thank you Thank you! When you made that “keep your eye on the ball” analogy, it clicked! It’s so obvious, but I never really thought about it that way! My aims not terrible and I have a decent reaction time but I’m always dying because I’m looking away from the center of my screen trying to take in too much info. Been watching for years and I’m still learning from you. Thanks man 👍
Crosshair placement has to be what baffles me the most when watching other people. Genuinely, what is the point of aiming at the ground? Literally just lift your aim up and you'll win double the gunfights, at least.
definitely agree about crosshair placement. i played on my schools r6 team this year and one glaring problem i had was pointing my crosshair too far down. Then I started practicing, and started dying to obvious frost mats 🤣
I like to use the FFA or the random gun playlist. This way i can practice map knowledge, angles, human movement, sound, and crosshair placement. It is also nice to bring friends into it before actual matches so everyone gets to flex their muscles and feel good then everyone is hyped to go.
i think i'm the same type. i like to stay back, always have the biggest scope on a weapon and my sensitivity has always been on the lower side, because i always panic in up-close encounters and with high sensitivity i'd be doing 720-degree neurotic chaos flicks.
You touched on this, about health . use grippers. Your hands have so much going on and making them stronger will also just improve reaction , better single from your brain to your hands. Good tips for everyone over all
It basically took me about 2,000 hours in Siege to be okay at aiming. Siege is the only FPS I played that seriously, so I just naturally got better at aiming through gameplay like you mentioned in the video.
I don't think the difference between cas and comp is necessarily what you said, i think it is just different ideas of fun. Some people love to get as mechanically good as possible while others love for funny moments doing random shit, and i personally go through phases of both lol
You absolutely have to be genetically blessed to be good at shooters. I was born with absolute disgust towards moving my mouse across entire table. I play with high dpi and high sense, my mouse barely covers 7 cm² square while I play. I also don't own a mat
something about seige gun fights were always werid to me after taking long breaks, tarkov and other twitch shooters no problem but siege is always difficult

Honestly, if i could play for a solid few hours and not need to step away a lot I'd probably start to actually get better. But i can never dedicate my brain power to siege as a father of 2 under 2.
My problem is that I had a lot more time that I could spend playing video games a couple years ago and I used to be good. Now I have almost no time for gaming but I still think I should be able to play like I used to. I can't. When slow down and try to be more methodical I do better but it's a conscious effort and I don't always remember. Oh well. Having a kid will do that to you I guess.

im a heavy tall mf every chair i sit on sinks i cant get my arms flat on the armrest and desk xD im 6'5 xDD but imma try everything u said just finished watching your tutorial on all operators i noticed playstyle has changed somuch over the years after i stopped playing R6 back in 2021. so many new operators and tactics its crazy. Back when i played high IQ tactics where the kapkan glitch to get the laser invicible. or the place a frostmat. ripaway the door so the wood falls on the frost mat xD or the stand against the reinforced wall as bandit and listin to thermite planting a charge and place the bandit battery quickly and take it away again. Back when BB's shield didnt break. Back when glaz didnt have thermal xD the time u shot the wall above a reinforced wall so you could peek in the objective at the biker map. OOOEEEEHH or the time u could fuck a whole squad with jager and his acog xDDDD

I don’t play on m&k I play on the sticks with a TV

Nah my aim is good, but I just react slow af lol, everyone I play with tells me, and I see it in replays too
im a heavy tall mf every chair i sit on sinks i cant get my arms flat on the armrest and desk xD im 6'5 xDD but imma try everything u said just finished watching your tutorial on all operators
i noticed playstyle has changed somuch over the years after i stopped playing R6 back in 2021. so many new operators and tactics its crazy. Back when i played high IQ tactics where the kapkan glitch to get the laser invicible. or the place a frostmat. ripaway the door so the wood falls on the frost mat xD
or the stand against the reinforced wall as bandit and listin to thermite planting a charge and place the bandit battery quickly and take it away again.
Back when BB's shield didnt break. Back when glaz didnt have thermal xD the time u shot the wall above a reinforced wall so you could peek in the objective at the biker map. OOOEEEEHH or the time u could fuck a whole squad with jager and his acog xDDDD
You lost me at skibidi gods
But... I'm on console :((
I won’t let that cringe with the ridge wallet plug slide
What if I'm God teir
