I feel like the 7 points towards stealth aren’t really worth it here. Leland already has such low stealth those points don’t really benefit him a lot and with him being focused on grappling, you’re not really trying to avoid being spotted. Putting those points towards endurance or toughness seems like a better compliment to the play style
Good to see a video that doesn't look like a perfect escape and actually shows that the game is not always a cakewalk for once. Great video mate, definitely gonna be checking your content more when lve time. Cheers
I use a max strength build with grappler to end close encounters quickly, as well as two bone scrap perks that let me keep my bone 25% of the time after a struggle and 40% after sneak attacking, I’ve held on to the same bone scrap for an entire game with this build 😂
I found the best build is level 2 stun duration then level 3 concussion. Perks: sneaky pete, highly skilled, tool tracks(all level 3) then proficiency 40 and stealth 35. 209 escapes as leland with that build.
I find that the 126 second cool down is far better. Playing as family the concussion effect really doesn’t do anything, it’s just something that surrounds the edge of the screen. I get a lot more use from his ability from the shorter cooldown.
cooldown also doesn't do nothing at all i even used a timer and tested it, sometimes it seems like the stun time is random but it's most likely between 7-8 seconds stun
This gameplay was very entertaining, and thanks for actually showing the skill tree and showing it long enough to screenshot, unlike the other build videos out there and you have a new sub
I go left and take +str perk, choose fight to stun longer, and same stab perk. I have 50 str and 50 prof and base stealth. I like this play style since I can go just super load and be safe as well, but when I want to escape benefit from the 50 prof to get out super fast. After playing like this I notice my team mates get out so much more often since I can survive / pull 2 people on me. This being said I play mainly duo due.
I am only around rank 15 total - Don’t really have the time to play 24/7 only at night before bed or one game when I take a break from work… But I consider myself an escape artist lol I usually outlast most people because I play VERY slowly and carefully but aggressive when it comes to running lol - Love this game! Good fun
Stealth to 40 max proficiency to whatever after Use grandpa stabbing perk to hurt their family bond, fight or flight choose flight for unlimited stamina when you need it basically, I used a perk to get extra stealth but you can swap this for whatever really
I just respeckd my Connie to switch to Leland bc everyone wants to use her and it’s annoying trying to get her but I’m enjoying playing Leland a lot it’s so satisfying knocking the killers over lol
@@memo5230 no, the toxic players who continuously door slam family are the reason for this. They're literally trying to ruin games and make people back out. What is their prize? Boring games with DCs and more lobby time than play time.
@@TaeJo0n how do you destroy it when you continuously are getting knocked by it? You stand up and have a stun animation and there's no time to destroy it. Great advice 🙄🙄🙄
I hate how long the grapples last _after_ you win. You can end up just standing there longer than you were grappling for an easy death. "Okay ive got a chance at escape, but first i need to lock eyes with them"
Omg! My 1 issue with close encounters, was the time it took. Leading to instant death if another killer is close. That perk looks sick, can be combined with the grapple perk that gives health and stamina back when you win. Maybe efficient grappler too if that's the one where you have 25% chance to keep the bone shard after.
Keep the builds coming this is a great build 😂 an can you show how you like to escape on each map just like in this vid as well . An also make family build videos as I’m a family man 😂I mean main.
grappler is good against family members who use macro's (went against a cook while using lvl 50 strength leland and lost the close encounter while I was spamming it for all my life
For the perk "What doesn't kill you" isn't that only 100% of the most recent hit? Like if i get hit 3 times from 100 health. each hit for 25 damage leaving me at 25 health. Wouldn't I just get back 100% of the most recent hit being 25 damage. So my health would go back to 50 and not 100?
So, no matter what victim I play I always try to get 40 prof and 40 stealth going for stealth over prof sometimes since you can mash to pick anything up without making noise. Haven’t played much Leland yet so I have yet to see how the attribute points will work for him
@SIMPLYAMAZINGYT yes im stuck at the top left I still have some to unlock can I still unlock them if I'm at lvl 10 with leland, also the healing perk doesn't work after 15 seconds or do I have to do something to enable it ?
@@vAstrxz it’s hard to say since I’m not able to see your skill tree, and the healing perk works sometimes for me, I’m not sure if that’s a bug or how it is
Same. Never lost as sonny or Leland. I don't touch strength and don't use any perks that increases the grappling effectiveness, I might try that perk that makes the close encounter faster. Grappler. 50% is super fast.
@@vibingsloth5290 Anyone can eventually win a struggle. The issue is that your aura becomes visible during the struggle, and you can be instantly killed if another family member shows up. Therefore, you should aim to win your close encounter stuns as rapidly as you can. This can be accomplished by having high strength and using the grappler perk.
Seemingly no matter what I do I lose struggles. On top of that people playing Leland can just push me over randomly like what is this bull shit. He can get into a struggle punch killer get away and he can push killer down and get away he has too many stuns. Edit: Turns out I don’t always lose struggles I have won quite a few of them it’s fucking Leland I always lose against because his perks hold his hand for him through struggles.
You're not meant to flat out win them. Your aim as family is to keep the grapple going as long as possible. It does more damage to the victim and gives a team mate chance to turn up for a one shot. You only "win" if they run out of hp before they've managed to break free.
It’s not Capped at 50, 50 is the amount u need to reach level 10 on a character but some routes u take can have u spend 53 skill points or more or less
Got about 35hrs in so far as hitchhiker and sissy and I've never won a grapple even if your grappling with Connie and breaking your fingers mashing and using the grampa ability I still lose, and also I've never seen a family team mate win a grapple. Pretty sure they need to do a patch on the mini game, among other things, another issue as the family is when you get stabbed with a bone in the back there's about a 50% chance you get locked into the concussed screen and you cant do anything but walk around Lol. Even worse encounter 2 victims that know all this and if you're alone your game is about to be completely bugged out, one will grapple you, another will stab you over and over until your locked into being permanently concussed 😂
Winning as a killer is a little show of you doing damage and can happen till the survivor escapes or if they are too low then they Lose in the way you are expecting with death
Nah you're just misunderstanding how the close encounters work. Victims are supposed to win the grapples if they're at full health, what you're doing as a family member during those grapples is doing damage to them, they're not supposed to just be straight up "50/50 chance to get an insta kill" for the family. If that were the case, it'd be a pretty horrible mechanic and would be pretty damn pointless for Victims to even attempt. Also, Family members will always get a straight up insta kill on the victim if a second Family member gets involved. That's always a win for the Family (which is what makes grapples so risky for Victims, gotta hope/make sure there are no other killers nearby otherwise you die). So, no. This won't be "patched" because it's working as intended 🤗
