Goddamn 80s horror is the best. The fog, seedy alleyways, Chris Sarandon nonchalantly chasing you in a trenchcoat knowing damn well you won't get away. Also what a vampire should be, seductive, preying on your weaknesses. Told Ed what he wanted to hear in order for him to take his hand. Scene still gives me chills.
If I was Ed, when I realised it was Jerry Dandridge I would have gone up to him calm as you like and said ‘ wow Jerry twice in one night, what a coincidence’ trying my hardest to pretend I had no idea he was a vampire.
This movie is filled with great acting. I believe the scenes with Evil Ed as well as Peter Vincent are what made this movie stand out. Everyone else did really good too. But the script really allowed for those two to shine. Touching and not over acted. Which is rare for the genre. All the best acted scenes in the movie contain Jerry, Evil Ed and Peter
If only Ed had listened to Charley instead of mocking him and walking off on his own, he wouldn't have been in that mess in the first place. Unfortunately, some people have to learn the hard way. 😥

Fright Night is almost like a modernized version of Dracula to me Jerry Dandrige- Dracula Amy- Mina Harker Charlie- Jonathan Harker Peter Vincent- Van Helsing Ed- Renfield
I always wondered why Dandrige offered to turn Ed. It wasn’t like he had any real interaction with him prior to that night, plus he would be another mouth to feed. Now I think I get it. Jerry knew that Peter Vincent knew he was a vampire, and he had to take him out that same night. But he had no idea where Peter lived, and Jerry sure as hell knew that there was no way Peter would let him into his home, so he had to get him another way. Thus Ed. Ed knew where Peter lived and had the best chance to be let in by Peter. Jerry’s whole turning Ed was to get Peter Vincent.
And Charley too. Remember that when Ed failed to kill Peter, Jerry then sent him after Charley's mother. Luckily she was at work at the time, but killing Charley's mother was a sure fire way to distract Charley and possibly kill him so he didn't have to get his hands dirty and also completing Amy's vampiration.
First of all, I wouldn't be walking in that alleyway alone even if there weren't any vampires, and second of all, the stuff Jerry says to Ed hits a little too close to home!
To rate this film to any re-makes with its soundtrack is without question....DON'T DO IT!!!! There is no comparison....this is the one and only classic....along with it's sequel
I can relate with Ed, I was bullied. If I was in high school and some vampire offered to turn me into one, I would’ve accepted the offer. Even now at 34 years old, I would still accept the offer and I’m in a fantastic place in my life.

Scared me shitless as a child lol! I have this film and the soundtrack. Now all I want/need is to see the outtakes and alternate scenes. That would complete my decades-long love affair with Fright Night!
The music amplifies this scene. It honestly makes it really gloomy... in a beautiful way.. losing your humanity by taking the hand of death...
Come to me.
Look kid either we could do this the easy way or the hard way, on seeing my hand and the how long my fingers are I think you should choose the easy way.. Lol
This movie is a masterpiece, great of the greatest.
Chris Sarandon was perfect for the part
Oh, I'll take your hand any day, Mr. Beautiful Vampire Dude. XD
The Red Sterling Mc'Bae LMBO. Same here
The Red Sterling Mc'Bae you do realize this is a gay scene..hence when a vampire bites you he is making love dummy!!!!
reese caine Really? 🤔
I wanna be a cool vampire like him
Well done lmao
This is a great comedy horror film series. Both first & it's sequel are classics.
The music score when he holds Jerry's hands❤❤❤❤❤❤
If I was Ed, when I realised it was Jerry Dandridge I would have gone up to him calm as you like and said ‘ wow Jerry twice in one night, what a coincidence’ trying my hardest to pretend I had no idea he was a vampire.
Ahh, it wouldn’t have worked
This movie is filled with great acting. I believe the scenes with Evil Ed as well as Peter Vincent are what made this movie stand out. Everyone else did really good too. But the script really allowed for those two to shine. Touching and not over acted. Which is rare for the genre. All the best acted scenes in the movie contain Jerry, Evil Ed and Peter
Best scene in the whole film...
Can not beat these classics.
Supreme facts.
If only Ed had listened to Charley instead of mocking him and walking off on his own, he wouldn't have been in that mess in the first place. Unfortunately, some people have to learn the hard way. 😥
Yes... 😤😒😔
Ed was building up to be a ghoul all of his life
@@Reprodestruxion Sad but sounds like it's true. He'll never be normal again, he'll always have a grotesque appearance and he'll never see the light of day ever again. This all in itself is very sad. Plus, he'll never see his family again. They'll be scared at the sight of him. Talk about ruining your life! 😔
@@anonymousagoogleuser5722 business as usual to him
But he’d probably blossom in time as a Vampire mentored by Jerry
hmmmmm...alone in a dark alley with Chris Sarandon...sounds like a win to me! Directions to the alley please?
lol
You can find him in the Booger Hollar Bridge.
Another black woman* gawking* over white-men. SMH.
Joe the king Hawk- YEP and your point is...? Wow criticism coming from someone in the group of people that do the most white chasing and have the most interracial relationships and children than ANYONE. Check your fellow 'brothas' before you even think to come for me. Hell, there won't be anything but white men left for us black women by the time you all get finished chasing white and racially ambiguous girls. Miss me with your BS. Sarandon was fine AF in this movie and YEP, I'd gladly smash. U mad?
Joe the king Hawk- And what's "gocking"? Did you mean 'GAWKING'? Your comment was ignorant enough. You only made it worse by having the nerve to not be able to correctly spell what you accused me of. Laughable. LMAO
EDIT: And it should have been 'WOMAN' not "women". Instead of talking shit and hating...go to school ;)

This music from the 80s it absolutely awesome
I love the way he says: Take my hand.

The devil seduces you into evil, that's why they say "give the devil his due".
2:50, He was taking Ed’s hand, so he can get that “Butt”. Ed’s screaming was when he entered 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Watching this movie so many times as a young child gave me an unhealthy obsession with vampires....and homoeroticism. 😂
The devil seduces you into evil, that's why they say "give the devil his due".
Best vampire movie EVER
That guitar sting when he walks in tho
"Be my apprentice Ed learn to use the power of the dark side"
Jerry is probably the only " being " who ever called him " Edward ".
Maybe his parents and teachers
0:09 “well folks, should I follow him? What do you think?” Lol
Fright Night is almost like a modernized version of Dracula to me
Jerry Dandrige- Dracula
Amy- Mina Harker
Charlie- Jonathan Harker
Peter Vincent- Van Helsing
Ed- Renfield
I think Jerry wanted to hurt Charlie by taking everything from him. He took his best friend and his girlfriend
😂
THE SCORE IS SO GOOD
I love the background music...
It is great
The devil seduces you into evil, that's why they say "give the devil his due".
One of the best horror movies of the 80s, and still a good movie today.
Something about this scene hits me at my core. Im both Jerry and Evil Ed now.
Sarandon was really scary in this role
I love this movie.. 1980s are the best!! 🤗
Hi people just to let you know I am at 80s baby and I love fright night one that's all I watch I wanna say hello to the people who love fright night so thumbs up for all 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The way Ed cries, I think he didn't want to accept it, but he realized he had no choice. Maybe he knew he'd be set on his friends and not himself and was just despairing at that.
"Let me give you the choice I never had"
2:36 Amazing Remix of the Original Score, specifically for this scene. Does´t appear anywhere else.
Me too
Best vampire scenes when he gets amy alone, and when he corners evil ed alone, best 2 music sequences as well, with amy and evil ed
This is a very underrated movie.
Only someone like Evil would stand there and say: “CHARLEY, AMY IS THAT YOU?”
“IF THATS YOU IT AINT WORKING IM NOT SCARED” till Jerry popped up🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder why he ran tho? I thought 💭 he didn’t believed in vampires.
This scene always fd me up....i think cus i was like 7 when wed watch it
I cry when I talk to my friends about this cuz no one knows what Im talking about. (Im 19) and Im like "I have a movie recommendation. " cuz this is one of my favorites
Dandridge's coat was FRESH!!! af back in the day....👍👍👍
I kinda wished Charlie and Vampire Ed got a scene together. It could have put more guilt on Charlie's shoulders and would have been interesting to see.
Anyone thought that evil was the cutest teen in this movie or is it only me
Nah...I had a thing for William Ragsdale.
Bruh I became obsessed with him😒🖤
Hello Edward you don't have to be afriad of me.I know it is like being different.
Matthew Hamilton I'm definitely Jerry.
I don't know why, but the way the music plays when Jerry is shown reminds me of the music in The Monster Squad trailer.
Classic scene!!
I love 80s ❤❤
what amazes me is how yt has hijacked the free film up loads and now charging 3 bucks to watch this and other films🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😋🤣
Here comes the pirates bay and Yify
Makes me cry x
Takes a short cut home, but ends up in a dead end? Didn't he know where he was going?
Kids: Never walk into alleys after dark.
Grown ups: Never go to bars that are dark and try to get a date.
Most humans don't know that a vampire changes his victims when there pain is too great or nothing to live 4
ugh i shouldn't be spoiling it for myself if i'm gonna watch the whole thing but im just so excited after finding out this was the OG one and not the 2011 one😭😭😭
We know this is gay because the love theme music comes in when Chris reach's his hand out to Stephen Geoffreys.
I thought it was more of a hypnotic seduction theme, rather than an actual love theme, because it plays when Jerry is with the hooker, and also when Jerry meets Amy for the first time. It's like...whether you are male or female, you can't resist his charm.
