Even had that whole setup where it started out seeming kiddish and happy but then started getting an actual continual plot and dark themes, which i'm happy to say a lot of cartoons have been doing lately.
I really like how you whisper the lines at 0:22 and 0:33. The original has intensity because of its high-energy pacing but whispering those lines lends a different kind of intensity to this cover, at least in my opinion. It's commendable how you stuck to your own portrayal of the song. While it was unexpected I found myself enjoying it as much as the original, although your singing voice is so beautiful it could make almost anything enjoyable to listen to.

Eddie Juarez I wouldn’t necessarily say that the gems are lesbian, as gems don’t have technical genders, and while all gems are considered girls (I think) lots of gems, like jasper and many rubies, are masculine. And to add on to this, jasper wouldn’t really be a homophobe, just more of being against love and dependency, especially teamwork, as Jasper prides himself on his very successful independence. He is still obviously a bad guy, but homophobe seems like an inaccurate word to describe him, as gem relationships aren’t supposed to be based on gender.

But somehow, your voice is so melodic and beautiful, mixed with the meaning behind the song and the lyrics, that you have brought me to tears. If you're really interested in singing, or plan to make a career out of it, I suggest voice training. I must admit that coming off of watching the original scene (and squeeing far too much for a man built like a 34 year old Steven), the pace initially seemed a little slow. But once I'd got into it, I realised just how fabulous this version is! Delicate, well crafted and of course beautifully sung.
Have we got "Strong in the Real Way" yet?? Have I missed it? I demand it now! :D

Slowing the pace down was something I thought people might initially raise an eyebrow at since the original scene is so high-energy, but I really wanted to commit to the lullaby feel to do something different with the song! I am thrilled you liked it! This is my first Steven Universe cover, but I hope to work on more soon, as I've only recently gotten into the show. "Strong in the Real Way" would be fun to do energetic and Disney-style! :D
***** There's no need to thank me, you obviously put a lot of work into your music & just thinking through your choices always makes me smile. The hesitation you put into 'Let it Go' makes it my favourite version so far. I would love to see a full foot-to-the-floor Disney style version of 'Strong in the Real' way! I'd offer to sing Steven's parts... but unfortunately they'd be a bit _too_ authentically bad. :D
