I think that the gyro ball build got overtuned but I’m worried that it might get the water bear treatment
Nah I think he’s good but not broken. Metagross virtually has no passive and the unite is still meh.

Just in case you guys thought the huge shields weren't enough, Gyro Ball + heals you for 30% of the shield when it expires. Also check how little damage Cris took, that means the enemies have been mostly hitting shields the entire game.
Apparantly we can read the discription of abilities so we didn't think like that

The amount of shield gains on metagross makes me question why it isn't a defender

They definetly overbuffed gyro ball's damage as it's supposed to be the more defensive oriented move for Metagross.
Gyro ball didn't really need a damage buff. The cool down and shield buffs did the job.

Metagross went from gross to meta real quick. Would prefer to see some nerfs to the dmg honestly, coz he should feel like scizor; lots of shields, high brawl potential, tanky, and small heals. A lil nerf to the dmg will make it very balanced.
Nerf the gyro ball set at least. Meteor mash is supposed to be somewhat powerful
Little damage nerf and unite buff would be perfect.
Unite move should be unstoppable and always spawn a wall, so that it is at least a little bit more consistent in what it's doing.

My first experience with Metagross (which was today, funnily enough) used muscle band, attack weight, and resonant guard. Might try it with policy in the future

policy seems like a perfect fit since all of it's shield scales off its physical attack
For me usually if the pokemon not depending on crit dmg, i always use Weakness Policy + Attack Weight to stack Atk stat. I rarely use muscle band on any dmg dealer pokemon
Played against Metagross + Comfy. No joke, they got 260k damage... And still lost because we ripped Ray 😂
Gyro ball buff is honestly too much but I still love meteor mash more.

A funny change to gyro ball to counter junglers would be slows increase the damage of the move by the percent of the slow (making it more true to the games)

oh my god. and then one of those solo ults on the glaceon gave him 30% ult back after it killing. its insane
When you finish an enemy with the unite move, you instantly gain 30% charge back
its now like a tyranitar but with good early and faster movement speed
Feel like metafross just a better aegislash now especially since he gets hp back per hit and does ridiculously more damage

I think the wall thing is happening with all walls in game i.e crustle wall and other removable barriers

THIS is how Metagross should be! An overwhelming force if left unchecked, just like in the games.
Although I'll be honest this is kinda OP but Cris makes anything look OP 😂
This move combo needs a nerf for sure once you land from magnet rise with out using it it’s on a 2 second cooldown with blue buff mid to late game gyro ball damage is good for scaling but the combo cooldown is the main concern
I thought I was going slightly mad when I ran into the invisible wall, it's why I started spamming side to side. Almost got me kod so best I could do was throw a puff at you so i could heal incase I went down due to the bug lol (also i was hesitating because i wasnt trying to dive, i was trying to get behind everyone to guide them out as i could tank the hits and get everyone out alive but the wiggly and sylveon were out for blood lol). Since this match 99% metagross I've seen have had 30-40k damage, feels bad lol.

I use Weight/Weakness/Float Stone for this build. The speed is just too much to ignore and maybe I could try Charging Charm instead of Float and X Speed instead of Eject. The possibilities are endless. Its just too easy to not die and get KOs tbh. I love this build but time will tell how powerful Gyro Ball will be.
I use weakness stone and razor and go in the jungle, you’re like a jet plane once you have magnet

Man i was having so much fun playing this game until this patch. Now im up against metagross comfey, mystical fird sylveon and wigglytuff every game and its so cringe🤧

ever since my mom said that you wistle a lot while speaking she told me to put headphones of cuz she said its driving her crazy lol
Remember, this pokemon still might as well not have a unite move, and its passive is near useless. These are the only reasons i don't think it's completely overtuned
Glad my boy is putting in work. Loved him since i was a kid. Always had this fond memory of my brother giving me a beldum in soul silver and running around with him. Walking with my pokemon was so cool to me back then and see a metagross alongside Lance's dragonite during the lake of rage segment always made me hype. I do think he may be in need of a further buff to his unite but his kit is undoubtedly strong rn, enough to make me think hes on a buzz/blaziken tier. The damage on gyro ball probably needs some reductions but its also nice to have a mon that dogwalks on dragapults lol. Hes no zacian or pre nerf intelion though that's for sure. Powerful, very strong even but not as oppressive as even pre patch mimikyu

@newdish8775 nowhere near as bad as zacian lmfao. There's no doubt he's incredibly strong right now but he's not as powerful as pre patch mimikyu who was untouchable, nuked you down and had absurd sustain. And pre patch mimikyu was STILL not on the same tier as the Ex mons. But yall are so quick to cry the moment a mon is meta hence why tyranitar never recovered from his nerfs lol. And buzzwole is absolutely on his tier tf? Have you never been permanently cced to death? The moment buzz catches you, unless you're a defender or bulky all arounder, you die. Straight up. And once again, still not on par with the ex mons. Furthermore yes....90% of the mons in this game require no skill. Not sure why you guys keep thinking there's so many mons that require a massive brain when at best there's like 5 or 6. And majority of them aren't top tier lol

Earlier today I was using magnet rise/gyro ball and thinking to myself I’m gonna get roasted for this set but it feels too good lol the I see Chris do the very combo of chasing people in magnet rise using gyro ball before the magnet rise slam cc hit them hitting them with the cc for the end combo🎉🎉🎉
I feel like Metagross is a better version of ttar now. Would love to see a ttar buff soon. Ttar does seem like a metagross counter though with true damage. Thoughts?

@@AdmiralEmberDragonTyranitar counter him really bad, cuz beneath that thick shield Metagross is actually quite squishy, Tyranitar just ignore the shield altogether. The problem is how to evolve quickly enough before Metagross wreck your entire team

Gyro Ball definitely over-buffed.
Along with +1 second CD and -10% damage, a good change to Gyro Ball might be making the shield only work vs Atk damage, sort of like a reverse Assault Vest - as is the shield against multiple opponents is just too strong.
It needs to have at least some counter play - making it susceptible to Sp Atk damage could help balance it a bit.
Really sad that they overbuffed it. I wanted to play this moveset since it released, but it was too bad before and now is Zacian levels of cringe.

Why did Gyroball get a damage increase? It's supposed to be the defensive option...
Even if on average it still deals less damage than Meteor Mash, that fact is made irrelevant because it's cooldown is half the time and it gets the same CDR from boosted auto.
That means you can activate 2 or 3 Gyroball in the time it takes to activate one Meteor Mash.
This needs to be patched now. Ball either needs a longer cooldown or lower damage.
I wanna see damage with Full stacks, 6 brown emblem, Reggie steel buff + red buff, and Ray shield 😂
If it weren't for metagross gyro ball over buff we would have at this moment one of the most balanced metas (not perfect) in the history of the game

I think unite should recreate the metagross unite and when we use it four legs of meta come in front and gives a huge dash to the opposing pokemon and creating the walls around them 😅
