      I'm not a fan of airfriers but, they cycles on/off so not continuous 1700W, that's the max.
      Also, breakers are there to protect the house wiring from overheating.

    • @x3TripleAce3x
      @x3TripleAce3x 2 місяці тому

      @@nunya___ Breakers are there to protect, yes, but they aren't bulletproof. Running a load continuously near the max rated value can cause a fire if given enough time. Most circuit breakers that are applied in North America are 80% rated, which means that they can only be used continuously at 80% of their thermal current rating.
      Now what is the average power draw of the airfrier and how long does it continously pull 1700W, I don't know. I'm guessing it only pulls the max at the highest heat setting.

    It's made by a smartphone company and it's surprisingly not as advanced as this one but it has a long list of 100 recipes specifically formulated for this specific air fryer, with photos, exact ingredient amounts and there's even a button that cooks the ingredients for the exact amount of time and temp needed, it helps save a lot of hassle knowing that these exact instructions will make it work 100%
    One of the coolest things is that the temperature goes all the way down to 40c which means you can make yoghurt in it and it works really well!

But if I lived in an efficiency situation without a real stove, I'd be psyched to have this option. Yeah! Fries and steak for one person! I can see the use-case for this. Programs seem cool, if they do the magic as advertised. ❤Thanks TASTEE for sponsoring Adam!
    But, you'll have to pry my grills from my Dead, Smokey Hands.

    Thank you so much for this wonderful Tabletop Convection Oven ad! As a single person I live out of my Mini Slow Cooker (aka rice cooker with multiple options) and my Tabletop Convection Oven. When I need a new one, it will NOT be a smart one with an app (DUMB APPLIANCES FOREVER), but it's nice to have a cheap recipe for something this elevated in a form appropriate to a single person.

    My air fryer is my go to now for anything “dark chicken related”. Thighs or wings. Still trying to perfect a rotisserie style with recipe with the air fryer. Does a job on pork steaks or chops as well. Air fried broccoli is also amazing seasoned with some salt pepper and chopped up garlic if you have some fresh as opposed to just microwaving or boiling it.

    Tip #1 when making homemade fries. Precook your potatoes. I wash and bake my potatoes the day before. Fridge overnight. Then cut the already cooked potatoes into fries or wedges. Now, since they are already cooked, you are only trying to get the outside crunchy. This can be done with an extremely hot convection oven or extremely hot oil. Oven is healthier. But you need extremely high heat for a short time period. In the oven just a small coating of oil is plenty.

      They do look good on ads disguised as cooking demonstrations though.

      Get an actual convection oven if you like the features. Bigger, more power efficient due to the better insulation. And it's not just another trash device taking up space in your cabinets. Table top convection ovens like this one break down far faster. They skimp on the insulation which fries the electronics. You'd be lucky to get three years out of it.

    Things like this are definitely made for a certain person in mind. If you are at all interested in cooking it's PROBABLY not for you, but there are definitely people out there who can't afford a whole ass oven or don't have room for it.
    Is it for me? Definitely not. But I can see why someone would make great use of it.

    I picked up an air fryer with a built in temperature probe a few months ago (not this model) and I use it ALL THE TIME. It's super handy, but I refuse to connect it to my wifi or install the associated app on principle.
