I cannot describe how much I've grown to love Big Bang. I am a more recent follower, and even though I wasn't sure about them at first, I can definitely say that they are probably my favorite group in the kpop industry.
I first stumbled upon them when I was looking into Kpop, out of curiosity, and the first MV I watched was Fantastic Baby. That was a bizarre experience, especially since I watched Bang Bang Bang right after...
But after giving them another shot, I fell in love with them. Everything about them, and I can say I enjoy practically all their songs - solo's included. Like I said, I can't really describe my love for them, but they're just unique, like any other kpop group. I love that these men can be cute, silly, and very attractive, all at once. They have many sides to them, and it's always enjoyable watching them take on completely different roles, ranging from something sad like Monster, to Let's Not Fall In Love, to Sober, and to Fantastic Baby. All of their concepts are different, and I just love all of them. So even though I'm fairly new to this group, I am already a strong supporter. I hope they continue as Big Bang for a long time.
Truly, I cannot find a group I enjoy as much as Big Bang. No matter how many I listen to, it's just not the same for me. Big Bang is really my first and ultimate favorite group - with Vixx coming in close second.

I used to despise this genre because i had this mentality that kpop is just about cute untalented good looking bunch of boys. but after i randomly watched big bangs bang bang bang dance practiced i was like wow these boys got moves. and then later i watched fantastic baby and bang bang bang. But my recent kdrama addiction introduced me to korean song (ost. kdrama). when i watched Taeyang singing Eyes, Nose and Lips on fantastic duo, i felt in love with him and his song. This song is genius for so many different reasons. Consider both the instrumentation and the lyrics. The instrumentation is quite joyous and happy. The song itself is in F major, an key that evokes the emotion of calm happiness and joy. We're all here just enjoying the moment is what the instrumentation tells you. However, when you read the lyrics, they are a bit off. You realize this person is just covering their pain. We can hear through the lyrics, a song of someone who is lonely and struggling. I get from the lyrics two things:
1) not being able to survive without some kind of substance (alcohol, drugs, whatever)
2) not being able to survive without the audience
The second interpretation is quite sad. I imagine every artist at the level of Big Band must experience something similar to this. The high that you get from that level of human interaction......it's something very few people in the entire history of the world will experience. But then after the lights and the music and the cheers fade, what are these musicians left with? I imagine the life bands such as Big Bang lead are very difficult.
And then we have the MV which has so many meanings if you stop and think about the images. We have the different beds in a field (a field which has a sign that reads 'Dreams'). Maybe they represent the ever changing hotels/houses they have to live in to follow their dreams? Then there's the smoke that's constantly covering the field. They're always covered in this smoke throughout the video. Then there's the colorful four walls (always changing angles) that the five members are trapped in. Then there's the the call for the taxi to take them away from the chaos, only for them to enter the taxi which in itself is chaotic. Just, the whole song (instrumentation, lyrics, MV) work on so many levels and have multiple interpretations. Genius. This is the reason it's one of, if not my favorite, Big Bang song.
Thank you, BB. Thank you for your music and your sacrifice. I hope you can find happiness and peace even after the lights fade and the cheers stop. This world is full of beauty, and you deserve to experience that beauty in both the intensity of the stage as well as the quiet of the mundane. Best wishes!

I have to listen to the song several times to get a hang of it. Being a foreign fan with no understanding of the Korean language, i looked up the english lyrics and man, it was deep. Interesting interpretation of not wanting to be sober as dream world is far better than reality?! - I dunno.
Again -- BIGBANG did it. Not just a mere video but a puzzle that keeps VIPs guessing what the real message is all about. Aside from the fact that GD wrote the song (my heart beats so much for this guy) gives me another privilege to know him better. An underlying truth that will always set BIGBANG apart from the rest of the kpop group out there.

Just what happened to me, At first I always wanted to watch Bgbang because of GD, but as time goes by, every musics I discovered to them I was amazed to each of them... Like they rock their parts... Like no one was left behind, they topped every genre: Hard rap - T.O.P, R&B - Taeyang, Rock Ballad - Daesung, Sweet Music (I can't find words for this)- Seungri (his voice is so unique) and for GD I think he can rock any type of genre... GD is my ultimate bias but these 4dorks are such a bias wrecker.... Their different color made them perfect blend... Their musics always taste better as time goes by.... Like a fine wine... Oh I obsessed with them... I may late to discovered them (yr 2019), but their musics is my kind of trend no matter so many new and famous kpop groups we have today... Pls make a comeback.... This is the first time I got addicted to music group...
