Glad to see Blaster is back, but I have to admit I miss the anthology format. I liked picking them up for content for games I was interested in already, and getting exposed to stuff I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. As I'm not really into Old West games, I'm probably gonna skip #5, but I'll keep an eye on the later issues.
Arrgh!!! I am missing Volume 3 and 4. I can't find them on drive thru. I meant to grab them (I have 1 and 2) but, didn't get around to it. Great vid. Looking forward to picking this one up.

Really excited for a Dead By Lead let's play. I'm always interested in new cowboy miniature games. With Great Escape, Black Scorpion and WWExodus we have a ton of cool miniature to choose from.
My copy is sitting next to me ready to read, so this was well timed!! It sounds absolutely fantastic, and I always love some Wild West campaign action (all the moreso with Jay involved and his incredible names! 😂). Definitely keen to see a let’s play and the campaign soon!!
Looks over at box of western Zombicide with all add-ons and stretch goals. Looks back over at video. Steeples fingers ala Montgomery Burns, “excellent.”
No solo/coop rules it looks like and no logical ending to a campaign. If it's just you and one or two of your buddies, it will be just you and your buddy's gang fighting over and over.
A periodic indie gaming magazine sounds great. Also this is the second Weatern style game Inhave stumbled onto within 24 hours. Blackwater Glutch was the other. Mini agnostic is my favorite two word adjective. Thanks for introducing me to Blasted.
After reading through it, I have to say that a year or two ago I would be completely enamored with it. Good, concise and elegant game with no weird weird west steampunk stuff (which I personally hate with a burning passion)? And plenty of flavor and involved campaign and... That all sounds great. But now, after seeing how spotting and activation mechanisms of What a Cowboy! changed my expectations of skirmish wargames, I even doubt it'll make it to the table. I don't think there's a turning back.
They’ve been retired as the ownership of the title is fully Greg’s now, so the old content needs to be split up to be made available again. I’m looking at how that would work for the future for my parts!
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames oh this reminds me, did you ever come out with an "Age of Iron" timeline for Last Days, or are you aware of a decent fanmade one? I've been thinking of adjusting the Old West timeline from Blaster #1 to go back further, but didn't want to reinvent the wheel if someone already did the effort writing and playtesting one.
Came here looking for a Gaslands update to their Blaster book, got the theme from SyFy's "Alice", the one where they call the sheriff "tinman" and AMC's Dan Fogerty (autocorrect) cop shows. Arsenal? Isn't that a video game of the same theme? *Don Knotts...and this why autocorrect is bad.
Very cool. The injury system reminds me of Escape from Tarkov. You finish a round and escape in that game and your arms are broken, you're bleeding from your stomach and you're half starved.
Looks like an interesting game - as someone trying to make a game, I think this is a very good resource, and maybe in the near future, I'll be able to do a submission!
If I'm being honest, I was very disappointed to get Blaster 5 and find that pretty much entire issue was dedicated to a single, needlessly complicated, sub-par western rule-set - a genre that I literally have a dozen other rule-sets for. I cherish the first 4 Blaster issues. The end to that run came too quickly.
This looks like a neat product.

Why playing cards that’s , there should just be a rule or universal modifer. It adds another complexity that is not needed.

is there much difference between this and Dead Man's Hand or the GW Old West Game?
Combat is a lot crunchier would be the first thing I’d say!
