Speaking of illusions, I always thought someone should do a coaster like this zooming thru a well lit hall of mirrors type maze- with fragmented reflections of yourself spiraling off in all directions so your not sure which way you're going, and often the illusion that you're about to run head-on into yourself. And since being able to see the rails beneath you would give away what your real course will be (walk thru-type halls of mirrors are often made easier to navigate by scuff marks on the floor from the thousands of previous patrons), maybe have the track hidden beneath twin slots in a solid floor (like a San Francisco cable car), with fake slots crisscrossing this way and that so you're not sure which way you'll veer next. Oh well, at least I can imagine it...
