Just imagine it, 40%DR on special + 48 fDR from skills... Still have 20%pDR on Guard Echo too... And other 30%pDR on her weapon too... And she will also heal after the combat 💀 ... Dude... Units without DR Pen are doomed beyond comprehension. The Secret Math is: Be X the On Hit Damage: For Specials: X*(1-0.4)*(1-0.3)*(1-0.2)-48=0 Solution is X = 142.857 For Normal Hits: X*(1-0.4)*(1-0.3)*(1-0.2)-36=0 Solution is X = 107.143 Any armor or cav on a special after moving 4 squares hitting Att!Caeda for less than 142dmg will do 0 damage💀 A normal hit would require more than 107 damage to scratch her💀 "Ah but few units move 4 squares, in AR-O, most units will move at max 3 squares."... Man... 💀💀💀 On a Special X*(1-0.4)*(1-0.3)*(1-0.2)-42=0 Solution is X = 125 On normal hit X*(1-0.4)*(1-0.3)*(1-0.2)-33=0 Solution is X = 98 "But most of the time they will pierce 100%DR"... Sure 💀💀💀💀💀 On a Special X*(1-0.4)-42=0 X = 70 On a normal hit X*(1-0.4)-33=0 X = 55 You know what that mean right? I think Glimmer is the better choice in this circumstance. If my feh math is right, then each glimmer is adding +17 damage, so +34 from two procs, and No quarter would only have added 23 damage (0.3 x 77 visible Atk). And there's no damage reduction to cut through since Dimitri isn't running Blue Lion Rule.

If she was running Astra, first and second hit both deal 34 so 68 total, and then Astra will deal 85 x .4 so 34 DMG. A total of 102 damage, just barely missing out on Glimmer.
ATK/SPD Finnish to clash: “Remember the first and only rule of the A slot for infantry units, there can only be two and you are no longer my apprentice.” “You have been REPLACED!!!” (Joke obviously clash is still good but excel is just way more insane so I personally feel like it and Finnish are now the best A skills for infantry looking at this at least.)😂😅
Now we can have Emblem Ike with even more Flat Damage Reduction yeayyyyyyyyy 🙄 I don't like where the Flat DR is going. Every tank is going to be unkillable and later we will have even mlre Precombact damage
Does anyone know how to beat laguz 4 tanks? For some reason that 1 skill alone makes killing certain units impossible for me whereas before that, I'd have no issues. Most notably i struggle more so in Arena with this issue.
i just have to ask: why is this sparrow effect not player phase only? like the entire identity of these skills is that you gain an effect on initiation

Atk/Spd Excel uses flat damage reduction aka true damage reduction (no matter how much damage is initially done, it will always reduce it by that specific number eg. take a skill that has 10dmg of flat dmg reduction, and a skill that "reduces damage by 40%". if your opponent attacks you for 20dmg, flat dmg reduction reduces it to 20 - 10 = 10dmg, while standard dmg reduction reduces it to 20*(100-40)% = 12dmg, while if your opponent attacks you for 40dmg, flat dmg reduction reduces it to 40-10 = 30dmg, while std dmg reduction reduces it to 40*(100-40)% = 24dmg.) However, ONLY std dmg reduction is piercable, so with no quarter, that 40dmg with std dmg reduction just deals 40dmg, while with true dmg reduction, no quarter deals 30dmg. (and emblem ike dmg reduction from great aether is considered special dmg reduction, so laguz friend 4 doesnt reduce it by 50%, and its not piercable)

It’s not part of the sparrow family line, but an offshoot of the Clash skills which are mixed-phase
Besides it only works on opponents specials during enemy phase.
