Folks here in queens ny and in Brooklyn Ny can get seeded watermelon on the side of the some streets where men travel from the south and bring them here to sell right from the trucks. You will pay about 3x as much as for the seedless ones sold in the supermarket . Last summer I paid $20- $25 each but I Picked out the largest ones and they were HUGE. Worth it in my opinion.
