I heard someone once saying that in the old times' people use to fix their relationship, whereas nowadays some people just want to discard it or replace it which I believe is much more complicated.

Sometimes though, you do really need to throw the whole thing out. I tried so hard for so long with my ex, but when I finally left I found so much happiness elsewhere.
I'm not sure that's entirely fair, divorce or breaking up after a longterm relationship was a lot more taboo then than it is now. I feel like there were a lot of couples in the last century who hated each others guts but stayed together because it's what is expected of them

Went through the same with my girlfriend. We were together for 5 years went separate for 2-3 weeks but after that we just couldn't live without each other, so get back together and we're together since (this was about a year ago). Like that you can be real and not everytime #LivingTHELife and only post the amazing things on social media/UA-cam. This needs to be a trend that social media becomes more real and true. Thanks for posting this. I really wish we had more of this honesty from influencers, and I’d like to see more honesty in the travel community in general. I just came back from one month in SE Asia, it was amazing, but I realised how much travel influencers gloss everything over - especially the down sides of travel and specific locations. Few care to mention the toxic air pollution, poor waste management, stray animals ect that haunt many of these ‘paradise’ locations. Talking about them may actually pressure authorities/ start vital conversations and awareness about these important issues. More transparency is something I’m going to implement in my own content going forward. Glad you got back together.

I can see why it's hard to point out the negatives. You don't want to come off as being rude about another country or appear ungrateful for the opportunity to travel. But 100% agree with you!
Agreed wholly. We try really hard to be real about it. Especially when traveling with kids, it's not all rainbows and sunshine. Sometimes, it really sucks. But you gotta know that to experience the greatness that it is!
We also try to be always honest and not let it seem that every holiday we do and every country we visit is just perfect - I really appreciate content creators who live by this philosophy.
Couldn’t agree more! Looking to be more honest in my travel vlogs going forward, every place has their good and their bad and it’s good to see both in videos, otherwise it creates the false illusion of travelling being perfect all the time, which it is not, but that’s one of the joys of travelling!

I’m so glad y’all opened up about this! My girlfriend and I also travel and work full time together so can fully relate. We were long distance for two years and it’s so funny to think how before we just wanted to be together and now we’re figuring out ways to have time alone but that space is so important in a relationship.

It's a different perspective on #couplegoals where you can actually realize you made a mistake breaking up instead of analyzing the problems and working on them. I absolutely love it because relationships are so much work but there's definitely not enough attention for what kind of work and how much of it. Also absolutely loved your rational analysis of why you got back together again. It's very rational but also extremely loving.
