Great pliers, I have two of them, one with comfort handles, and one with insulated handles and chrome plated. Very solid little tools. I like how knipex improve their tools with little details.

I have a small set of wrench pliers, 7 inches overall. I put an extra long 15/16 wrench on the handle as a cheater bar. I dropped my entire body weight, on that wrench and bounced to loosen a bolt. I fully thought those pliers would explode. They did not, they asorung right back to true, and have never left my pocket since that day.

Leather man pliers heads are pretty damn similar. I’d say the groove that runs down the length of inside has even more functionality

@@Uff-dada Kinda, yes. But the main difference are the cutters. Knipex has side-cutter-like cutters whereas almost every multitool on the market has shear-like cutters. I like side-cutters much more and they are much stronger and durable, especially when they come from Knipex.

Not sure if it’s been brought up but you also have a cable pulling feature between the pivot and your hand there’s a gap that opens up when you open the pliers

I have that slot I can teach you how to make it in any pliers. Take your black hot wire and cut it

You can cut the black hot wire all day and nothing will happen. If you cut the black and white at the same time is when you will blow them up. (Or if you cut the black and ground or black and your pliers are touching anything that is conductive).
