This performance was actually just after Lara went through a very tough break up. Lara did not want to perform, feeling her life wasn't worth anything anymore. She was convinced to perform, because it would do her good. I'm a rock/metal guy, but when I heard Lara for the first time, she bought me. Incredible vocalist, performer, the Queen of Emotion, a beautiful lady and a really nice person. Few years ago I shot an interview with her and I must say she is one of the nicest people I've ever met! Such a pro, so nice and normel, down to earth. After the interview we went for a cup of coffee and hanged out and talked. She took her time to hang out with people, working for an obscure media from an obscure country, that just shows her greatness. And for an artist, such a reaction from audience must be the ultimate honor. Obviously, she really apppreciates it and she really deserves it!

I listened to it live during the FIFA awards and watched two or three of the early reactions (Ray/Vibe and some others), and I upset some Angels because I said Angelina is looking great and sings flawlessly as always, but imo the song itself is horrible, terrible arrangement/beats and stupid lyrics, and even the technical side being messed up. I'm aware that the FIFA ordered and RedOne delivered and it's not AJ's fault at all, and for that audience maybe it was exactly what they needed to hear (the guy has been in charge of FIFA's music for years for a reason...), but it's definitely not for me. The original song is beautiful, and is always recommended, but I must confess that, by far, I prefer each and every one of his live performances; in each and every one of them he introduces variations, small changes, but I don't know how he is able to do it when each and every one of the versions of his songs are authentic gems, worthy of being listened to several times. Just so happens, the last comment I posted on that video was 6 months ago, saying it was comment #1000. After my new comment today, that video has 1015 comments, so only gained 15 in 6 months. .The reason this performance is so emotional for Lara is because when the audience sings the title part of the song Je t'aime which means I love You, the audience is literally singing to her I Love You.
The original song is beautiful, and is always recommended, but I must confess that, by far, I prefer each and every one of his live performances; in each and every one of them he introduces variations, small changes, but I don't know how he is able to do it when each and every one of the versions of his songs are authentic gems, worthy of being listened to several times.
