Thank you everyone for calling attention to the controversial sponsor. It was a bit of a hassle, but I managed to back out of the contract, and have cut the sponsored portion out of the video (it may take a few hours for the video to update). I'd like to say mistakes happen; however, with a channel this size I understand I have a responsibility to be more careful. From now on I am making it a top priority to carefully do an in-depth vetting on every sponsor I take. I take full accountability for what has happened, and it is on me for not doing my research. I appreciate all of you for holding me accountable and keeping me grounded. You guys are awesome.
@@razberrie27 I appreciate the kindness, but don't give me too much credit here. I've really only done the bare minimum by correcting my mistake. I should have been more careful from the start. I'm sorry for letting you guys down. I should be better than this.
Food packaging honestly isn't all that complicated, especially because most people don't really pay attention to it when opening it. For boxes, use a glue gun. For bags, a heat sealer. Most either tear a box or bag open and won't notice the differences. Someone could easily buy something, do this at home, then bring it back under a coat or something.
Yeah to add to this I used to have a chip bag resealer that looked like a small stapler and was battery powered with a heat strip to melt the plastic back together. While it probably would be hard to do undetected you could probably even do it at the store since it easily fits in a pocket
These sorts of stories make me extra paranoid. I'm already paranoid about open packages since more than once I've eaten spoiled or stale food because the packaging got damaged so ever since I started giving packaging a once over in the store and at home. There's also been cases of people doing this sort of stuff to poison people
The only thing that makes me really concerned is that one was found inside a *medicine bottle*. Medicine tampering is extremely dangerous. If a paper note could make its way into a medicine bottle, who knows what other, more dangerous things could as well?

Nobody knows who places the tiles, and they too have had copycats. People have suspected the tiles to be made by a mentally ill person, and the reason they never get caught being that they make the tiles from inside their car with a hole in the floor, so they can drive to wherever they wished to place a tile and work on it without causing suspicion. Apparently, the tiles only started to appear after a caller called into a talk show and started making references to the same things that later appeared in the tiles.
i love the Toynbee tiles! i first encountered them around NYU and the LES in the ‘90s and found them fascinating. i remember it was one of the first mysteries i attempted to research on the internet when i got AOL in ‘97. there was very little information on them at first. out of all the weird, esoteric New York City lore, this is my absolute favourite.
@@lastilnovista I also find it interesting and I would try to preserve the tiles if I found them, unfortunately, the tiles either get removed shortly after being placed (some only lasted a few hours) or they get worn down by cars, since the tiles are very small and thin.
I saw a video a couple years ago where they thought they got pretty close to tracking down the person responsible for the tiles, but they couldn't make direct contact. IIRC they did contact people he knew though. Wish I could remember what the video was. It was pretty interesting.
I made a similar comment. The Toynbee tiles, the furnace party letter, and these notes, all coming out of the same area around Philly, seems like more than coincidence
I love listening to people talk about Washington for similar reasons. Most non locals can't pronounce Chehalis, Quinault, Spokane, or Puyallup right. Many also mispronounced Rainier, Yakima, Tenino, and Skookumchuck.
80's & early 90's chicago was full of street preachers who'd harass pedestrians and hand out odd literature written in disjointed fashion and with content that was similarly all over the place in terms of connecting various religious ideology and conspiracies. I was a kid but I remember it well because my dad was fascinated by these types and he was known to engage them in provacative banter. There was also a thing back then where there were bulletin boards at train stations or in the entrance of stores and the like and people mostly would post job type things with little tabs cut out to rip off phone numbers, but every now and then you'd get something like this where some person believed they had it all figured out (what that "all" consisted of varied but was invariably nonsensical.) I always think of that when stuff like this pops up. More recently, during many hours long occasions where I fall down these weird internet rabbit holes I have discovered several youtube channels that are clearly the product of unstable minds wherein the creator has, for example, posted hundreds of videos of himself rambling about cointelpro, and accusing random strangers of being part of a gangstalking conspiracy against him. He had these things that he took as "tells" that an individual was involved in this imagined conspiracy against him like how they wore their scarf and it's color, or incidental eyecontact (because angry muttering in public tends to elicit attention); all of these were indicators of involvement in his view. It's sad but shamefully interesting in a voyeurish way. I wish I had saved or bookmarked the channels so I could link them but I generally force myself back into reality and get off the internet upon reaching this point in my browsing.
I worked in Conservation before I got into law enforcement in Pennsylvania. I have personally seen three or four of these notes in the just the last year in counties on opposite ends of the state. The first one I saw was stapled to a tree leaf, another one was found by a hiker in a little makeshift shrine and turned into my station. Not sure if you’ll cover this in the video but a good level of preparation is put into these things… every one I’ve seen or heard about is either laminated or folded into a plastic bag, and seem to be hand-cut from a larger piece of paper. They’re absolutely everywhere, but luckily seem to be tame… can’t say the same for some other adjacent stuff I’ve come across.
They are being distributed by a dark web cult that is targeting fraternal orders globally. They have connections into Yakuza, Los Zetas, subsection gangs between Bloods, Crips, and Latin Kings. The cult is obsessed with repeating the fate of the Goths killing the Roman Legion and it is vengeance against a unified order. The Loose Change documentary being released via DARPAnet was picked up by a malevolent black hat hacker group which utilized Usenets and AOL chatrooms to send their own cyphers through anonymous terminals. They go through rigorous retraining, it's essentially torture derived from scientology except the focus is that they have their own network of onion layers that no DOJ or even DOD officials will be able to track because they don't communicate electronically. You will never find a lead. Watch Mr Robot, the TV show. Sam Esmail likely based the story on the building story of this group, details given by FBI and CIA. I am a book writer , wrote a book about wiretapping and it's history since ancient Rome. I'm not trying to be their L Ron Hubbard. But I have been on the net for a long time. The person who had created these notes was sending a message, it's not the message itself.
Man, I wish the sponsor wasn't BetterHelp, since it's been long proven to be pretty much a scam aimed at vulnerable people with several horror stories from people who tried it. Otherwise, this is an interesting video.

holy shit I remember these!! I'm schuylkill pennsylvanian myself (unfortunately) so it's weird seeing this actually covered in a scaretheater video lmao
Honestly I think it's stilly to use Chat GPT as a researching tool. It probably already knows about these notes and is just regurgitating what some reddit comments said about it.
Yeah, I don't think a lot could've been gotten from the notes in the first place, seeing how it's nonsense, but chatgpt definitely isn't gonna add anything new
Maybe, but also maybe not, hence why it won't harm to ask it. Especially as the Chat GPT will be able to meticulously search all available Web files on a certain topic that a "mere" human researcher may miss. 👍 The best is however to use it as an aid rather than as a sole research tool.
Hey it’s SO cool to see our local events on your channel! Living in Schuylkill County and the papers are definitely NOT talked about in the public. found one of these in 2021, in a box of cookies from aldi in luzerne county! I couldn’t find much info on it at the time, so I made a tiktok on it hoping to find someone else who found one too, but no luck. when I saw the subreddit I was blown away at how common these were to come across. I’ve been wondering if it’s the same person or persons that leave homemade signs along the interstate in the surrounding counties with nonsensical religious warnings for decades now. whatever the outcome is with these gaining popularity, I do hope the person gets the proper mental health help if they need it. great vid as always, thanks for covering this!!
Similar mystery that happened to me and other people: All over the world, random people will throw fake money with hebrew text at people, it happened to me, so I made a post about it, I had a bunch of fake €10 notes thrown at me, then people linked me to other posts from other countries where the same thing happened, but the fake notes were of their nation's currencies, yet still featured the same hebrew text and still were acquired in the same way. I decided to keep one of the fake notes that was thrown at me.
@@hypnotised-clover Hey man, if I was getting dollar bills thrown at me with Hebrew on them, the greed joke would be my first guess. It feels pretty straight-forward, knowing how degenerates operate. Hello Mr.Theater. I just wanted to thank you for coming back and making content again. Despite the topics in most of your videos being dark the way you are able to tell the stories helps calm my mind. Keep up the amazing work my friend!
I was very struck by the Redditor who admitted to writing stuff like in the notes when having "episodes" of his own, or when he was "manic". This type of self-awareness is SO rare, and encouraging to see these days because it clearly gives hope to those who are suffering with mental illness that they are not always acting "crazy", or whatever other stereotypical derogatory term people think about, and often use to describe such individuals. My loving wife Lori of 15 years was highly Bipolar, may she RiP, and she was my soul mate. As our relationship grew in the beginning I got to witness first hand what a MANIC episode was. It really shocked me to no end! It came up on her without warning and it was like she was a VERY different person all of a sudden! She was always hyper. Wasn't sleeping. Super paranoid. And walk around the streets visiting people she knew all day and all hours of the day...etc. It was really scary to say the least. All I could do was pray that she would come out of it soon. Which she did. After a few years of being together, and having to go through these "episodes" about 4 or 5 times, it got to a point where we could talk about it when she was herself again. She was very self-aware of what she was like during these trips. To a point. I'm not sure she remembered everything she did, but a lot of it, yes. But it was so great to be able to be with someone who recognized her mental problems and knew that it was hard for me to deal with. And she loved for it so much. She really appreciated having someone who accepted her with all her so called "baggage". She came from the streets before we met, so she had a troubled life. Eventually we were able to build a great life together with a beautiful home. And she reconnected with her daughters...etc. She was finally happy. She told me many times. And that made everything worth it! I would give absolutely anything to just hear her laugh, and kiss her again and hold her. Unfortunately her troubled life on the streets affected her health badly which is why she's no longer with us. But my time with her was the best years of my life. Anyways, sorry for the long-winded post. All this to say that it is truly special to listen to someone who has personal insights into mental illnesses. If you are one who has never had to deal with someone with a pretty severe mental illness, then at least try to learn about what it is and don't view it negatively. I realize it can be scary being around a person who is having a pretty severe manic episode. So it's normal to avoid such situations and go about your way. But if you ever have the chance to just talk to someone who has mental illness, or has personally had to deal with it a lot. Maybe take the time to listen and learn about it. There is so much to learn, and it sometimes sounds like a case of simply making a common sense decision...etc. But for them, it's NEVER that simple. Ok, that's enough outta me. Lol. Peace! And thanks for the video!
Been following this for a while. I strongly believe it’s a schizophrenic man who used to go to the local university there. Can’t remember his name but he was apparently really well off until recently. When I find the sauce I’ll edit my comment
@isrulius & @megaspit - They had some unlicensed (underlicensed?) “therapists,” and the terms and conditions say your data may be shared with/sold to companies (when, for health-related things, the terms and conditions should explicitly say it cannot be shared.) And as far as I remember scare theater is friend with some ordinary gamers muta so I find it hard to believe that he didn't know that better help is a scam 😑 cause muta reported on better help
YES I FINALLY FOUND IT!! I saw this video back when it came out, and many weeks later found one of these things while hiking (in Maryland), but couldn't remember what horror channel I recognized this mystery from, or what you called it. it's been well over a month since I found the note and this video finally came back up on my homepage. I guess I have to make a reddit account now to report my finding lol
To put it simply, I'm an idiot for not even doing a bare minimum amount of research on the sponsor. This was my fault entirely. I've taken it out of the video, and am going carefully research every sponsor I take from now on.
@dssd7685 I genuinely never saw the video Mutahar made about it. I'm searching for it now, and can't find it. Nonetheless, this was a major mistake on my end, and I'm making sponsor research a top priority from this point forward. I've removed the sponsor from the video. Thank you for holding me accountable for this.
@@ScareTheater I trust you man it's not your fault scammers are prevalent in this time and age sadly too many of those scammers message UA-camrs to sponsor their brand and some just don't know what they're sponsoring
Im from Pennsylvania and i remember a time when everyone who went to the local supermarket (Weis) would occasionally find these exact messages inserted into a box of pasta or taped to a can of food.
Something to consider: for the cereal one, maybe the note was in the box part, and was only noticed when the man tipped the box of cereal over into his bowl. It may not have ever been in the plastic bag part, but instead fell out alongside the cereal after the plastic bag was cut. The guy just didn't know it was there until shaking the box afterward. It's rare for someone to take the bag fully out of the box after all. Usually you cut the inner bag and leave it in the box so you can get a good grip while shaking the cereal into your bowl. At least, that's a possibility here I think.
I can't believe this popped up on my feed! I found one of these notes in my Purina cat food years ago! I live in the area and there is a Purina plant within a half an hour drive from the pet store I bought the box from. I saved the note in my drawer and I still have it.

This isn't even close to anything relevant but thought it might be interesting. I was working as a gas station attendant during my last semester of master's degree (imposed upon myself, don't ask) in Colorado for about six months during 2015. There were many unhoused I met, some of whom were mentally not very stable, and I have multiple experiences like this (that being said, many unhoused in the same area were also extremely stable and kind). One such guy constantly had a note very much like these that and he'd try to get me to take it. I mean, it was very similar, but some differences. What stands out to me is many of these types of conspiracy theory notes really resemble the backs of Dr. Bronner's soap bottles. I felt empathic, but always refused to take the note.
I just wanted to say that you did a great job covering this & I really enjoyed the watch. I found one at bake oven knob vista in 2016 on the trail. Lehigh County not far from Leaser Lake where 5 were found in one day. Ive been thinking about it for years! So glad to see its being covered

Chat GPT isn't a source, and shouldn't be used as a source. Why are people asking Chat GPT for answers to questions no one knows? It's basically a glorified predictive text program like on your phone, but instead of trying to predict your writing style, it's trained on a bunch of writing styles. That's it. Yes, it can spit out basic, simple answers to things. Because it was trained to. But it's not a cutting edge AI that can reveal mysteries anymore than the "Let your predictive text write a sentence and add "in bed" to the end to reveal your deviant sexual desires" meme is true. It's bullshit and you really need to stop treating it like a source of information and instead realize that it's basically still just a chat bot.
@@bebop7311 Yeah, I had to put my foot down when a Gen Z friend of mine began telling me how he began asking ChatGPT for advice on literally EVERYTHING from driving safety to how to manage anxiety, and he'd begun asking it probing questions about spirituality and the nature of personhood and he was taking everything it said as the absolute truth. Literally the same week I was searching for some good photoshop brushes for painting realistic hair, and the top google result cautioned me "If you use too stiff of a photoshop brush on your hair, you may damage the hair follicles, so stylists recommend you stick with a softer brush". No human would make that mistake, it had been written by ChatGPT. It couldn't even keep the concept of photoshop brushes and hairstyling brushes separate and would switch between the two mid-sentence, but people are expecting it to give them valid answers about the nature of life, mental illness, and ethics. Ask ChatGPT whatever you like as entertainment, but please, PLEASE, do not fall into the trap of accepting it as true just because it can write beautiful sentences.

The best is however to use it as an aid rather than as a sole research tool.

Love your work but it does kinda suck that your getting deals from betterhelp, with the controversy of poor therapists and selling data
You are absolutely right. This was a massive misstep from me.
Probably some sort of anti-Semitic messaging about the stereotype of Jewish people being greedy. Did you ever figure out what the Hebrew meant?
@@100dead You cannot be any more wrong with your biased assumption. The hebrew related to the israeli military.
@@hypnotised-clover Hey man, if I was getting dollar bills thrown at me with Hebrew on them, the greed joke would be my first guess. It feels pretty straight-forward, knowing how degenerates operate.
Really strange though, delivering a political message about a military through fake note campaigns. It's a good delivery system, as you'll want to pick it up and look at it.
People will give out fake dollars that end up being some type of religious note or something so it's not too surprising.

Hey love your content man, been watching around 4 or 5 years now. Glad to see a new upload
Edit: Congrats on 1 million by the way
I was very struck by the Redditor who admitted to writing stuff like in the notes when having "episodes" of his own, or when he was "manic".

🤓☝️
Yeah I don't know why people still treat ChatGPT like it's some godsend every-took, when it's just basically a digital parrot.
THANK YOU! holy shit i felt like i was going crazy seeing no one else mention the usage of chatgpt
