As a thumb rule in deciding thickness of mattress one has to consider weight of person using mattress. In double bed if both people have less than 60 kg weight then 5" to 6" Mattress is ok but if both person have weight above 60 kg, then 8" is suitable. Memory Foam mattress are better than Spring Mattresses.

Sleep well mattress is absolute waste of money. I spent 1.5 lakhs on a 12 inch mattress. In 1.5 years it became a shallow and lost shape. Never buy sleepwell mattress it is waste of money.
