I think QRP is all about the spirit of amateur radio! There's something special about getting the most out of a little signal. I built a small 49 : 1 balon, cut a 3-ft 4-in wire, and then hooked it up to an (2 m )HT to make a test. I was STUNNED whenever I hit hit my repeater that was 2.9 mi away with 300 milliwatts 😮😮😮. That was indoors! QRP is FUN!
I thought GB limited HAMs to 400. Watts. I didn't hear about any improvements. 20. Watts is as good as 100. Watts. I have a friend that sticks his little Outbacker antenna on a tiny tripod out in the yard under a tree in the dark with his 50 feet of RG58, with this he got his DXCC from Florida. Ron W4BIN

I have to go out to transmit as I can't have any kind of antenna at home. I tend to use 10w max with a vertical
Sorry to hear you cannot do HAM radio at home. Hopefully you have a great outdoor spot for DX contacts.
@mutezone it's ok. It gets me out in the fresh air. Hopefully when the weather warms up in the UK I can do some pota
