    *****WARNING***** the first 4 min is just talk. Jump to 4:00. I got to say the rest of his narration is wonderful, it's honest and informative. My apologies, I just can't handle when people say the same thing over and over. It triggers my BS meter. But this is one of the most valuable videos I've viewed.

    YES SOME THINK VIDEOS SHOULD BE SHORTER BUT THE PURPOSE IS TO NOT LEAVE OUT ANY STEPS. I HAVE SO MANY POSITIVE COMMENTS I TEND TO KEEP THE VIDEOS THE WAY THEY ARE NOW. MANY GUYS WHO CAN NOW CHANGE TIRES WITHOUT SPENDING BIG BUCKS MIGHT BE WILLING TO SPEND A FEW EXTRA MINUTES SEEING HOW OTHER PEOPLE DO THEIR TIRES. THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK.

    Thanks, I changed my tires on my DR650 today and fought that bead, must have gone around with the motion pros 20 times with no luck then I remembered your video, I sprayed it and let it sit for a few minutes and dang if it didn't pop right off all the way around with no effort. Thanks again.

      Windex with Ammonia or Vinegar?

    I’ve been using Windex to remove hand grips off bicycle handlebars since I was a kid. Doing my own tire changes now and this makes perfect sense.

    Hi Windy love your videos. I am going to be rebuilding some carbs for a 1994 FZR1000 and was wondering if you have any videos on how to do that, or know where I can read step by step directions? Thanks and keep making videos!

    I’ve diluted the No Mar tire lube:paste in a spray bottle and used it in the same fashion as the windex with good results.

    People! the main message is to use plenty of Windex, must wait a few minutes for Windex to seep in and do its magic (this is the key message) and the bead will brake easily.

    Hi,yes we do talk,sometimes at length,because as friends it is a way to get to know each other better,like feeding the fish,our garden,etc. BUT AS YOU SAY SO ELOQUENTLY MOST VALUABLE VIDEO I HAVE VIEWED.Maybe the part I am not doing a good job with my channel is sharing personal stuff but trust me a lot of viewers like to know what I am about besides paint and trackdays. About saying things over and over yes you are right but some people need to have things reinforced.So you skipped the 4 min of BS,OK thats fine but you got your info despite my repetition and small talk.Remember this channel started with FRIENDS getting to know each other and share info and stories of their passion.Hopefully we are still friends and activey trying to promote those friendships.WINDY

    Thanks for the video. I always used dish soap but will try Windex

  • @windyurtnowski
    @windyurtnowski  2 роки тому +2

    Hi,I have used ordinary WINDEX glass cleaner but I an sure there are other soapy watery products that would work the same.The idea is once you separate the tire as it tries to go back it has some liquid soap make it lubed so the next bite of the tool is easier.Windex seems not to make a slime everywhere that is a pain to clean once tire is off.Its a good tip I believe.WINDY

    Does using these tools damage the rim on the inside?

    • @elminero49
      @elminero49 7 місяців тому

      It certainly scratches the inside lip of the rim. However the scratches never caused my rims to leak air. My rims are expensive so to be on the safe side I decided to no longer use this method to break the beads. Also Harbor Freight sells tire iron that are longer and better quality that only cost $6 each.

    I have to agree with Trevor. Although this is a very useful tip, the entire video was tortuous. Unfortunately, the presenter's first name is irony best defined. I don't need someone telling me over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Loquacious is too kind a word; logorrhea is better. I have no interest in watching any other windy videos because this man doesn't know the meaning of parsimony.
