This looks kinda wild actually. Something that would be great to have a sort of “Omni-console” to have as the heart of a retro/nostalgic game collection, should the funds to do so ever really come up.
Yeah... It took a long time, but i finally got mine. I pre-ordered early and got the big package that included all modules for $500. Recently got the N64 module and still....... waiting on the light gun. So far so good. Saturn emulation is great and can't really tell the difference. Games saves, built in cheat codes, use darn near any controller, man i love this thing.
@@Gheeotine Oh, right, I get that it's not supported. I was just wondering out loud if it's physically possible for the current Polymega hardware to receive a software update that allows it to read Dreamcast discs. I looked it up. The answer is ... not really. There were a few specific models of CD drive that could read them back in the day but most couldn't. Given that information, I suspect that Dreamcast support is probably forever off the table because they'd have no way to load your games.
Have you tried Space Station Silicon Valley for the N64 on the Polymega? That's one that doesn't emulate very well and I am curious to see how it runs.
@@zombiekohhi3586 honestly, no idea. All I know is that it has something to do with an error that was related to the expansion pack that got patched in the subsequent variation. At least that's how I understand it. You likely have to crack open the you likely have to crack open the cartridge to check the internals.

Did you have any audio issues for the N64 modules like other you tubers had. Some installed a different processor because of it.
@@bazingaman3592 didnt buy it,tooo much money imo
Dreamcast support would be interesting. Is it possible to read GD-Rom discs on the built-in DVD drive?
Not at this time.

It's a cd drive not a dvd drive

I'll track down a copy and get back to you
I LOVE THAT GAME. Project64 runs it pretty well
Well, I've acquired 2 copies and one of them does work fine. I'm wondering if one has an issue, but I do know there's 2 cart variations.
@@Gheeotine How do you tell which varient you have?
