Really enjoy getting to share in your travels and your exploration of the barber profession. I essentially grew up in a barber shop working there as an errand and shoe shine boy from the age of 9 to 17. Lots of terrific memories. The same barber still cuts my hair that first cut it when I was one year old. He's been cutting now for 55 years. His name is Paul and he's been there in that same shop since 1957. Yep. 61 years. He's 80 now and not interested in retirement. I have a lot of fond memories of that shop and have considered writing about them. Again, thanks for sharing your experiences.
