    Here's 2 fun facts: 1st, there is a tech bulletin not available to the public stating the 300 mile valve adjustment is no longer required, but dealers will still charge you sever hundred dollars for the first "service" even though they're just changing the oil which takes a whole 15 minutes. 2nd, there are 2 drains on this bike. Don't assume the 17mm bolt head is the only plug, as that will only drain about a half qt. and the rest of the oil will cavitate and keep the sight glass full. Be smarter than I was for the first oil change lol.

    tip: use vinyl gloves . Chemicals in oil are not good for you.
    ps: the best Motul is 300V
    OIL CAPACITY is 2.2 lt dry . If you replace filter you have to add oil........... I just read the manual. (I'm ready to get this bike, so I prepare my self for the change) 🤑🤑🤑
    Please check if you put out fuse F7 , the ABS is off.......

      300V is great if you want to change your oil every 20 hours. That’s a race oil, it’s not meant for longevity. Doesn’t have the detergents in it like Motuls 7100 (which is also a full synthetic)

    Awesome detailed video. 👍🏻
    I got a bit of oil seepage on the bottom cap and the oil filter cap. It's not soaking wet or dripping, just slight, but comes back after each ride. I've been monitoring it for two days now.
    Have you experienced this?

    • @FASTLANEMOTO

      Nope might need brought to torque spec recommendations per the manual. Did you use a torque wrench or just kinda go off feel like me?

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO 3 місяці тому

      Oh one other thing I thought of is make sure you didn’t overfill …. Make sure the bike is on a level surface and straight up and down I.E the center stand and check the level again. If it was too full it might be finding its was out past that seal……. You can just put it back on the center stand and re crack open the drain bolts and let some out till it is with the proper level in the sight glass:) lmk what you figure out:)

      Thank you for detailed info, it turned out to be the O-Ring slightly losing its integrity.
      One more thing, I can't seem to find the specsheet for the torque levels for all the nuts and bolts on the bike, may you be able to direct me there please?

    I never got an owners manual. Supposed to do a valve adjust at 300 miles too. I’d highly recommend you do it if you didn’t because mine were tight as hell. You also didn’t remove the main drain bolt any reason why? I went with liqui moly full synthetic oil.

    Hey
    I recently purchased new same bike and first service is done at service centre of royal Enfield but i am facing a lot of tappet noise problem they workers at service centre adjust tappet but again the sound come and now they are saying it is a signature sound of Royal Enfield and it can't be fixed
    Now what to do ?

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO 3 місяці тому +1

      My understanding is they do make a bit of Tappet noise but I would just keep an eye on it if it gets worse take it back in…. Or take it to a different Royal Enfield service center Good news is you’ve always got that warranty to lean on as long as you are doing the scheduled service. I will be doing a vid of myself adjusting the Tappets soon. A lot of folks have talked about engines getting quieter after they have switched to full synthetic which Im planning at my second oil change….mine also had a bit of Tappet noise but it doesn’t bother me…. We’ll see if it improves once I adjust them.

    Did you notice any performance improvement after you used the Motul 5100, is it better than royal Enfield liquid gun engine oil?

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO 2 місяці тому +1

      Nothing that super stood out to me. I think the bike is still breaking in so everything is still a bit tight in the engine…there might be a sight improvement in acceleration but could just be a placebo effect. Liquid gun is pretty hard to find here in the states so that’s why I went with what I did the specs are basically the same … it is recommended to stay with the semi synthetic at least for the first oil change as it helps with engine break in….:) Thanks for the question and for watching :) lots of modifications on the way for this little bike 🏍️

      @@FASTLANEMOTO hey thanks for the reply, mine's just done with second service and will try Motul once I'm done with the free services here in India , people say Motul is much better than liquid gun so wanted to know your feedback, also wanted to check if the AHO can be turned off as I fell that it's not really necessary as there is a DRL in the headlamp which can be kept on all the time, do let me know if you have any mod for that, thanks 👍🏻

      Nope no change… that’s just how an oil cooled engine is … they are are hot :) just double check your levels and make sure you are looking at the sight glass while the bike is on the center stand and on a level surface:) did you just recently get your bike?

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO Місяць тому

      @vineethkumar6397 should be is there an engine light staying illuminated or anything? Did it seem way hotter after the oil change or did you just notice it more? If it seems incredibly different see your local dealer. As long as the oil you replaced the old with has the same specs weight and proper fill level… etc it’s not the oil.
