Chieftain isn't easy that's for sure. After centurions they are a learning curve and at a big disadvantage compared to opponents. However you're right, too many screams, solid gameplay and music covering all. Wasn't really a grind. No evidence anyways for it

If the Mk 10 had thermals, it would have made the chieftain a bit better. Having played both the Mk 3 and Mk 5, I just saw this as a Mk 5 with better turret armour.
The only thing the MK.10 and the rest of the chieftains need really is regen steering and the TLS for the MK.3 and 5. Honestly the grind on the Mk.10 isn't that bad at all, it's a lot better than the Mk.3 and the Stillbrew makes a world of different even in full uptiers. I have around 150 battles in it right now and a 65% winrate. Super solid tank in hull down positions, I've gotten away with a 3.6 KD ratio with this thing.
Winrate is "high" with brits bc they get paired with ruzzia pretty often. (I´m playing swe atm, almost never get paired with op ruz) Chiefs are my favourite tanks, but the speed of them...or lack of =

Honestly the Chieftain series is the most painful grind as they artificially nerfed the APDS where it pens almost 90mm less than its 7.7 counterpart. 7.7 - Centurion Mk.3 / 84mm / Shot. mk 3 / 384mm pen / 3.22 kg / velocity - 1430 m/s 9.0 - Chieftain Mk.10 / 120mm / Shot L15A3 APDS / 298mm of pen / 7.48 kg / Velocity - 1372 m/s Over 86mm more of pen with a round practically half the size and weight.
@@toxicmuggle5788 the 120 APDS is actually pretty reliable, it feels like normal AP with how massive the round is. I rarely have trouble damaging things if I get through.
@@alexd1839I want to say I agree with this statement but I've recently played the Conquerer and wasted two shots hitting the side of a Crew Compartment of an M48 and only taking out one crew and barely damaging the rest. I remember enjoying the Cheiftain mk3 at 8.3 too, but at 8.7 I don't think its worth playing since you are just dead in the water

The worst stock tank i experienced is BY FAR the M41D. You have nothing, it's slow, easy to kill, the gun use APCR that can't penetrate a T34/76 from the front hull, you got no stab, it is 8.0. Terrible. Even fully upgraded it is still garbage anyway.

Grinding that tank was the most painful experience i ever had in this game... and since gaijin have put the mk.10 against things that can now penetrate it's turret (In real life, nothing at the time could)... ALL chieftains are horrid and i would never play them again. Gaijin are doing the same dirty with Challenger 2, putting in fake weak spots and making it's armour useless. That's why as a British Main who owns every British vehicle... i have never and will never play the Challenger 2. I am not going to bother with the same crap. Now i only play WW2 tanks or air.

As a Bri’Ish main it did not help in anyway. The saving thing is that L23 Dart. Even thermals wouldn’t help in any situation

The angled pen is what matters. L15A3 is so much more potent in practice because of this.
