    so in geometry we had to make 6 different origami animals and there's this one asian kid in our class and kids kept asking him for help and he got so fed up that he stood up, picked up his chair, and screamed "FOR THE LAST TIME, JUST BECAUSE I'M ASIAN DOES NOT MEAN THAT I AM JAPANESE, AND NOT ALL JAPANESE PEOPLE CAN MAKE ORIGAMI!" I was wheezing XD

    A little tricky to follow at times but was actually really good. I'm not great at origami and my folds tend to be uneven but my bunny still looks like a bunny. Thanks so much for the video it was really fun to make 😊

    hey guys, the video was quite well made. pausing is your best friend. i enjoy the silent video, its a personal choice. if you like it voiced out there are some out there. the paper was a little small in my opinion for a tutorial, but the end result was nice. so just because you didn't like it, doesnt mean it was trash. the video is well made no doubt. thanks Mica.

    I just made these bunnies with my boyfriend and they turned out great, thank you! If people are having trouble following, I would suggest just watching the video at half the speed in a few parts.
    Honestly, I don't think that this tutorial was so terrible for people to be so negative about the hands being in the way. It's the nature of the craft when you're folding small pieces of paper with your hands. Thank you very much for this video!

    I'm a complete beginner but I found this tutorial simple and well made. I had to pause a few times, but isn't that the case with all origami tutorials? One of the nicer looking models I've come across for such a simple process!

  • @jonathanpritchard6464
    @jonathanpritchard6464 5 років тому +12

    Adorable model, and simple enough to memorize for a fun little party or date night trick. To all the haters in the comments, stop whining, you'll always have to pause and rewind these tutorial videos when learning a new design. Also, go buy an intro to origami book and work through it, you'll learn all of the basic techniques and patterns used to make this rabbit. If you want to see a genuinely difficult origami rabbit, watch a tutorial for Jun Maekawa's origami rabbit design.

  • @LucaCiminelli
    @LucaCiminelli 6 років тому +2

    I'm shocked at all the hate comments I've read.
    Mostly by people who are clearly way too inexperienced in Origami, it seems to me. It's too fast for you? There's a slow down option in UA-cam and you can pause it by just clicking the space bar.
    He tells nothing? Paper speak by itself. You can turn on the TV if you need noise while folding your paper.
    It's a free video, people! Get a grip. I've grown up with diagrams where dotted or dashed lines are standards and I still prefer that for difficult origami

  • @megand1603
    @megand1603 9 років тому +58

    Got confused at some points, but learned to set mine down and watch closely where you folded it.
    Commentary would be nice, but sometimes it can make it worse if you say something like:
    "Okay, now make 2 cubic ear folds."
    Heck is that? :P
    Other then that maybe use a larger paper just for the sake of a clearer view. Still, just use what you have.
    It's adorable though.

    Ok I see a lot complaints in the comments but personally I loved it, found it very easy to follow. It's an adorable model, good choice of paper and a clear enough video.
    If you're a beginner in origami I'd advise skimming through the steps once before starting and then slowing down the video and following along with a "rough" model while you watch.

  • @pisces7466
    @pisces7466 8 років тому +235

    Way too hard to follow, try narrating your steps a bit or flipping the paper around a bit less, I had to pause way too many times.
    Next time maybe use a bigger piece of paper too? Your hands were blocking what you where doing 75% of the time, especially towards the end.
    Your end product looked great, but I got lost at around 3:30. Next time try making it a bit easier for your viewers to follow :)

    This wasn't *too* bad. I see a lot of comments saying that it's too fast and that the paper is small. If you slow the speed down to, like, 0.5, it's a lot easier to follow the instructions. The ending where you make the feet threw me off a bit, but once it's slowed down it's way easier than watching it at regular speed. I did have to pause and go back multiple times, though.

    To be honest, don't know what people are getting mad about, super easy tutorial, speed was great. If you need up pause pause...if you need to rewind, rewind and watch it over and over till you understand/get it, most origami isn't easy but once you understand the folds, anything is possible. Great video 😊 easy to follow 10/10

    The speed wasn't too fast. Especially because theres this thing called the 'pause' button. But the feet were difficulty for me, especially the angle you had it at when you were doing the feet. Took me a couple of tries but finally got it thanks! but again..if you showed more angles during the foot work..i thin i could have got it on the first try. I love the ears! I am having trouble making it stand, which is a little disappointing, but it is still very cute!😍I only had to pause it ONCE which is something I can't say for many other tutorials.

    Yeah this was my first one and it worked by the first time! I had no problem, although i had a asymmetric paper. Yeah thats the reason why the rabbit has a few balance problems, but therefor i adjusted the ears ^^. Great Tutorial! You are so fast! Greatings from Darmstadt Germany

      I do it the same way actually and sometimes even speed up the video 3x :D I think tutorial should show you how to do something. Of course the one who folds behind the camera is already experienced and know what he/she does therefore the one in front of the screen can never catch up. Just pause the video

    It's really tricky to follow, try working with bigger paper. Although it was partially because of my paper being creased by the last person WHO DIDNT EVEN MAKE IT EASY ENOUGH!! So it's not you're fault, it was a good make, great work! No hard feelings, I loved you're video!
