- Can you believe it, I've come on with another flippin' infection in my nose!! I don't seem to be having the best of luck with infections at the moment... I'm having a more-or-less restful day at home and waiting for the doctor to ring for a phone consultation.

A Veryt Beautiful Tree. I have yet to go get mine. Every year I go to this old gentleman who has a tree farm in his front yard where the lawn should be. He's ruff around the edges but has a warm heart and doesn't charge very much for his trees. He forces you cut them down yourself, stands by and laughs the entire time. Maybe he's Santa's younger brother.

I have similar issues with staplers at times. Most frustrating.
I'm not sure what the solution is other than replace it. Perhaps there's a tutorial on this on YT somewhere.
Oh no.. another nose problem. You poor thing, it seems to be one thing after another for you. Two years ago, my hubby was smelling smoke, and neither of us smoke, and no wood fire in the house. After a week, he went to the Dr, and through exams, tests and xray, it was determined he had mold in his nasal cavity. He had to have surgery to have it cleaned out. Not saying that is what you are dealing with, but it's amazing how many people have fungi spores in their nasal passages too. I learned something through all that.. ha

Smelling smoke can also be a stroke. What caused the mold in his nose?
Good job on the tree Izzy.. it's so pretty. I love a lit tree at night, it just gives a calmness to the room. I'm packing up my fall decor, and then give the living room a good clean, including vacuuming and dusting furniture to get ready to put out my Christmas decor.
Have you ever tried a neti pot? I like using mine when I get stuffy. Hope you recover quickly. Take care.. 🥰

Imo my immune system was badly affected by flu 3.5 years ago. Triggered painful bladder syndrome and frozen shoulder. A very expensive trip to a Harley Street Herbalist revealed a keto style diet low in refined sugar, gluten free and dairy free helps with immune system issues and general inflammation. Get some high dose vitamin C and vitamin D / fish oils too. When you have infections the body uses up vitamin C and we dont store it. Also suggest getting a really decent probiotic would help your stomach because the antibiotics will have diminished good bacteria. Your immune system depends on a decent microbiome

It would appear you are prone to Staph infections. Maybe consider B3 , there are some studies that this vitamin can help. Possibly tea tree used externally. It all depends on if you are into herbal and alternative approaches.

@@PlanetImo it's about taking the right dosage loads of research out there. I combine holistic and western medicine. Thankfully my immune system appears to have stabilised but it was hard going for while. Including brain fog.

Sorry to hear about your infection, is that down to the colder weather, I tend to get similar problems when the weather changes, never fun!😕

Maybe the cold weather but these nose things never spread into pain and swelling in other areas of the face. I highly suspect the prolonged wearing of face masks to have contributed to that. In fact, I overheard a staff member in a hospital recently telling someone that all the staff kept getting sores up their noses from having to wear masks all day.
Oh the snowman ornaments are each doing their own thing this year. Sorry you have that new infection but saline might be just the thing.

Oh gosh - I know EXACTLY what you mean from when Izzy was little - it's the non-stop chit chatting that ties your brain up and prevents it from processing what you're doing or have done. I know it well. It makes me really tired. I find it quite debilitating if I'm honest and I wouldn't mind betting it's the reason a lot of mothers chose to work even when they only break even after paying for child care. In fact, many a mother has told me this themselves. I think it's probably one of those things that doesn't get talked about.

So sorry to hear about your infection. I wonder if a warm compress would help? I haven't had Co-vid but I have had brain fog since the Pandemic. I'm not sure if it's because I get too busy, or because of the lack of stimulus that allows my mind to wander off into Oblivion.
