It's weird to watch you guys planting while we are in the middle of a blizzard here in Minnesota. The weather has been crappy for the last 3 days here. Several inches of snow & lots of wind. Good luck with plant 2024.
When you hook the planter to the tractor make sure you turn the hyd flow way down on that vac fan that tractor will blow that seal in the pump if it’s turned up too much. I’ve seen it many times in my days. Then ease the flow up slowly!!! Good luck this year it’s gonna be a tough one hope you have price protection on your crop insurance.
May have been asked, but who owns the gravel pit and the land you are farming. Reason asking, seems pit is continuing taking good farming land if your land.

When we got our new planter and tractor we had the same problem with the mercury switch we just took it off and put a whisker switch in and works some much better
