@@dollarsaurus01 it really does look like a $160 million dollar movie. I think what Gareth is doing right here is that he's using minimal CGI for what SHOULD be CGI. I can see a lot of practical in this movie as well.

This is one of the most perfect trailers I’ve ever seen. From the score to the syncing of the scenes with the music. This looks not only beautiful but original. I hope people make this film a success.

watched it in theatres yesterday and OH MY GOD. the visuals were so gorgeous and i cried a bunch. one of my favs and altho there were some inconsistences and iffy character writing, i love it so so much ! def watch it if u haven’t and literally the visuals will make ur jaw DROP

Im so glad that the era of SCI-FI movies is coming back with the incredible talent of Gareth Edwards. This is an incredible revolution, the entire film has been filmed just with a Dsrl camera, no fancy equipment, incredible low budget, this is an example of what you can do with your camera in your pocket !

The main character tries to save a child, AI, etc. from the government or other shadowy organization. And on the journey, they bond with each other. Just 2 movies off the top of my head are Chappie and Sicario 2

I watched the whole movie. And I was very impressed by what I saw. The director of the film was able to so realistically convey on the screen the entire essence of the American nation, its thirst for conquest, murder of innocent people, deception, thirst for power, hypocrisy.. I give Gareth Edwards a standing ovation! Bravo!
Just watched this on the Imax screen today & I can say it was amazing it lives up to the hype of this trailer massively it’ll take you on a emotional rollercoaster and the visuals are just unbelievable, my heads all over the place now tho thinking about the future of humanity because of this one film haha

Just saw this & walked out of the theatre, never since watching T2 Judgement day have I Been this SCI-Fi happy. This will be a epic true cult classic in no time, Hans Zimmer on the score & Greig Fraser’s Cinematography with Gareth’s directing really crafted a unforgettable & timely masterpiece.
I’ve been watching this trailer every few days now. Idk what it is but this movie has me so hooked for a multitude of reasons. All the promotional interviews show Gareth Edwards to be a guy who really has a lot of ideas, a lot of imagination, and a lot of just artistic passion in mind. I mean he’s not some overly-charismatic studio-puppet, he’s a normal guy who just really wants to make something, and do it the best he can. His inspirations are obvious in the beautiful visuals (thanks to cinematographer from Dune & The Batman), but also with an original story and great cast behind it, fingers crossed this is good and does well.

The movie was absolutely phenomenal! I’m usually on the fence about sci fi movies that are futuristic, but this one…. Amazing! I was hooked from the beginning and the end definitely left me wanting more ❤
I heard it cost just $80 mil to make this movie. How did they do that? I have seen movies that have less cgi and production value than this but cost more than double or triple to make them. How did they do it? And can we replicate these cost cutting methods so we can see more high valued tv series and movies? It would be so great if they can make that happen 👍
Couple of factors imho: they shot in Thailand which is a cheap location, they filmed with the Sony FX3 which unbelievably is a prosumer level camera, they used relatively cheap lenses from the seventies, and Edwards has lots of experience with two key areas: small crew run-and-gun filmmaking, and visual effects. A great combo to keep the budget down, and he likely needed less shooting days because of it.
No excuse studios to spend +200mil on movies when this only cost 80mil & looks amazing 💯💯💯 Gareth going from 'Rogue One' to this looks like a great step!!

You know that feeling when you see a trailer and you hope it's good when it comes out. This is one of them, definitely one of my top 10 sci-fi films.

How did they do it? And can we replicate these cost cutting methods so we can see more high valued tv series and movies? It would be so great if they can make that happen 👍

The creation of The Creator
Couple of factors imho: they shot in Thailand which is a cheap location, they filmed with the Sony FX3 which unbelievably is a prosumer level camera, they used relatively cheap lenses from the seventies, and Edwards has lots of experience with two key areas: small crew run-and-gun filmmaking, and visual effects. A great combo to keep the budget down, and he likely needed less shooting days because of it.

HYPED! This has to be an IMAX experience - had to make this a must-see in the Attack The Culture 'Date Night or Nahhh...' section and it's clear this is a fun date night - hope it's not too sad at the end, looks like it could get crazy.
