    He is a good role player, but he is a solid defensive forward who got remembered for scoring the game winner at the world juniors and it unfairly inflated his expectations as an NHL player.

    The Habs can not look at any player under 6 feet they have to become a heavy bigger team for playoff hockey

    • @s.b.3275
      @s.b.3275 8 днів тому

      Habs are the 9th most heaviest team in the league. What they need is to add more physical players and have there own players play more physical because they where bottom 10 in hits this year. It's not always about size. If we could get a 5'11" player that dishes out 7-8 hits per 60, I'd be all over him. They've already got plenty of size coming up in the next few years with Reinbacher, Mailloux and Florian Xhekaj. Owen Beck, 6' 190 lbs isn't the biggest guy, but he hits like a truck. They just have to find a way to have everyone on the team play a little more physical because they where bottom 10 in hits for and that's no good when you are icing a top 10 team in size.

    As a rangers fan I actually kinda like that move solely for kakko. I think he needs to loosen up on a younger team and utilize his creativity with a devoting team. And st Louis is the man to do that. I the ranger are quite bare when it comes to pick in the next couple drafts and I think a trade for kakko the Drury in my opinion should try for a couple pucks maybe a second third and fifth or second and fourth and fifth. So many options but pucks I think k would be a smart and good move for the future.

    Rangers in '23-'24 (including playoffs)
    With Kakko - 48-13-3
    Without Kakko 10-10-1
    I think I'd like to keep the player that when he plays, the team wins at a .750 clip. And when he doesn't play, they are a .500 team.
    The Rangers are going to keep him.
    Plus, his cap hit will stay reasonable on another 2 year bridge deal because his "numbers" are down.
    If I'm his agent, I show the stats above and ask for a raise 🤷

  • @bearmandangerous2371
    @bearmandangerous2371 13 днів тому

    If Kappo was picked in the 3rd round--everyone would be writing about what a steal he was. A big forward who can control play/possession, play good defense and chip in 20-30 points a season--is not nothing. He has size and is starting to use it more--he is the type of depth player good teams need in the playoffs. He just, probably, is never going to be the elite power forward he was touted as at the draft. He is not a Nail Yakupov.
