    This is one of the best videos demonstrating IMUs in action. Really enjoyed it as it made many things clear which some other videos I watched earlier couldn't. Thanks!

    Very nice device and great video! I wanted to double check that the +z axis points through the sensor, or that the device reports the acceleration in a left handed coordinate system.

    Hi, thanks for the video. Why isnt it a right hand coordinate?

    Hi! I'm trying to get the gyroscope data from a smartband using GATT protocol and when I get gyro data I got it referenced to a global system (absolute position) instead of detecting changes in position. What can that mean? Thank you in advance!!

    Thanks LEOMO...a lot of thanks...
    One thing I need to understand from you...one is the data when you move it in a particular direction...suppose while moving in a particular direction, if it also vibrates with a particular frequency , how the data will be of the graph..basically I want to know the difference between the movement data and the vibration noise ...plz help me dude..

    This is a fantastic explanation. Thank you for posting the video. Which software do you use to plot sensor data?

    Would be nice if you could comment on the fact why the gravity is appearing to be detected with the non expected sign. (acceleration upwards)

      I know that it has sth to do with the equivalence principle of Einstein.

    What software do you use to retrieve your accelerometer data? Can this work for other IMUs?

    Hey There thanks for the video , I'm wondering How could you calculate g value , I'm conducting an experiment using accelerometer that shows data in three axis and would like to calculate (g) or mm/s^2 , Would you please help with the formula . Thanks

    why the coordinate system used here doesn't follow the right-hand thumb rule ?

    • @mariochang6335
      @mariochang6335 2 роки тому

      RHR #1:
      Thumb = +x
      Index =+y
      Middle = +z
      RHR #2:
      Index = +x
      Middle +y
      Thumb = +z
      I think it does.

    Can you please explain in detail why there is a negative curve when going in +x direction? And why there is a positive curve when going in -x direction?
    I understand that there is deceleration but does it really have to be negative curve?
    Sorry to bother you with these basic questions.

      Hi, I'm not that good in this but I think the reason that we've got a negative curve when going in +x direction is because our acceleration was decreasing (because when we stop the movement our acceleration becomes zero) I hope that's the question you ask and I was not misunderstood your question.

      when he starts to move the sensor in the +x direction he is accelerating it in that direction. A deceleration is an acceleration in the opposite direction of travel. So when he is decelerating you could also say he is accelerating in the -x direction.

      When sensor moved to +x direction, sensor must keep moving with constant velocity (acceleration 0) to get only positive curve . Because sensor went slow down and stopped at the end, sensor produced the negative curve values.
