It's not art, simply the rehashing of other people's work, without a database of artists work this wouldn't exist, artists who've bent over backward for the sake of their careers only to be given the middle finger.

I find that one of the most difficult things for the moment with Midjourney is to create a character and make it evolve with other people, other animals in different settings, different scenes! I tried by copying the address of the image and the seed but the results are very average! Maybe this will be the subject of one of your future videos -) All the best from France

definitely more in depth than what i've been doing. I essentially built a form letter with replaceable fields for my SD prompts, and then ask ChatGPT to randomly fill in the fields :p It works pretty well though and lets me generate base images to start working on pretty quickly

Are you sure AI subverting human creativity by trawling human creativity at the behest of a corporation, so they can stop paying human artists and workers, and simply use their work in the AI to create outputs that are merely amalgams of human work, isn't doom and gloom?
@@YouAreStillNotablaze Art evolves. Humans evolve. I wonder how many people went out of the job when the washing machine was invented? It created more jobs. You can't teach art, and if you are good at what you do there will always be a space for your work. If anything human made art will become more valuable in a world awash with machine art, just as a hand made item is considered special compared to factory made.
I almost cried at the end when I thought I might have to pay for the prompt because I was afraid I’d pay and it wouldn’t be what I wanted (which would’ve made me decide to move on entirely) I’m so glad I only had to pay a like 😅

I love how were teaching AI to basically do everything. Not only can it do the art now, it can do the prompts. Incredible!
it is impressive, and it certainly is gonna cause a Shumpeter wave of creative destruction, which is what progress does. However, it's still a computer, which is only as good as it's input. If the input is wrong, it still gives you the wrong answer. I tested this with a plural of common misconceptions. I asked it about the grave of Archimedes, it referred me to a grave in Syracuse in the archeological park, which isn't Archimedes grave, it's not even Greek, it's Roman. I then asked it about communism. It answered that it was created by Karl Marx. I had to correct it because Karl Marx was a socialist, that only became a communist after he was inspired by the communism of the Paris Commune (and left out all the slaughter of the guillotine). I then asked it about the Great Depression and it gave me the standard caused by the 29 crash. I had to correct it because that was just a typical market collapse, much like dotcom/housing market bubble. The Great Depression started when Credit Anshalt bankruptcy, leading to a lost of trust of bond investors in governments and as a result, governments defaulted like rapid fire domino effect, causing the enormous economic decline known as the Great Depression. I then asked it about the covid vaccine, it gives you the standard narrative that it's tested, safe and effective blablabla. I tried to correct it with confronting it that safety wasn't even tested for as it was rushed through with operation warpspeed and it didn't prove effectiveness, that was just conflating absolute risk reduction with relative risk reduction to hide there was no significance to the placebo group. I tried a few more, like remdesivir as a treatment protocol for covid, it again failed to tell me that it was pulled as an Ebola drug prematurely as it caused a 50% mortality rate from remdesivir induced kidney and liver failure. (any guesses to what the peeps in hospitals on vents died from? Kidney and liver failure.). Actually showing that Dr. Fauci is a mass murderer, killing with intent because there is no way on earth he didn't knew about this when he constructed his treatment protocol.
Using an Ai to create art... doesn't make anyone an artist any more than turning on a light switch makes you a God, by the way. The very definition of art actually eliminates Ai generated art as being actual art. There is no imagination and not much creativity in adding a few words and having a computer generate an image based on your words. That doesn't make you the artist... the artist is not the computer or Ai either. Without consciousness and actual thought, there is no imagination or creativity. Please don't confuse creativity with randomness, because it's not the same. If there is to be an artist designated from such Ai works... it would be the person who wrote the software for the Ai... not the Ai itself. An auto generated image is not art without imagination and creativity.

Been trying to explain this to people.
It only is able to do what it does by trawling actual human art, and basically clip art editing and line tracing in a very mathematically complex way.
It's 'art' does not exist without the actual art produced by humans.
@@YouAreStillNotablaze exactly! And the art most use has been obtained from artists without their permission... and being used to sell subscriptions to people. The people using Ai go on to sell their images. So many copyright violations it makes your head spin. It will be interesting to see the outcome of all of the lawsuits that are being filed in regards to this really huge mess they have made.
We're treading in unknown territories, AI has gone too far, this is not art it's simply stealing from artists, their styles/ their brands.

I've been following AI tech for as long as I can remember including of course text-to-image and language models. There are plenty of videos saying "I MADE CHATGPT AN IMAGE GENERATING MONSTER!!1!". But this is by far the wildest implementation and fusion of these technologies I have seen functionally. It feels like you're truly unlocking a new feature with infinitely more possibilities.
This is a whole new world - thank you! Is there a way to take an existing pencil sketch of a character, and turn it into professional looking artwork? Would that be a separate video?
