- Loonbedrijf Reimink (Den Ham) 's avonds aan het mais hakselen en inkuilen bij Mts Hekman.
We hadden ze eigenlijk een dag later verwacht, maar toen we die avond na een dag elders gefilmd te hebben naar huis reden, zagen we dat ze de meeste mais al in de kuil hadden.
Gelukkig voor ons moesten ze nog 2 velden dichtbij de boerderij, en werd er daarvoor nog even gestopt voor een kop koffie, waardoor we de tijd hadden om thuis nog snel even de accu's weer bij te laden zodat we nog konden proberen er wat van op film te krijgen.
Het hakselen wordt gedaan met een 8 rij Claas Jaguar 950, en naast de hakselaar rijden ze met een Massey Ferguson 7724 en 7624 Dyna VT met 3 assige DEWA silagewagens.
Gelijktijdig zijn we met een andere camera op de boerderij waar de mais van de 2 resterende velden in een nieuwe kuil gaat, het kuilwerk wordt hier gedaan met een Massey Ferguson 7720 S Dyna VT met JOB Inno Walz 260 en maisschuif.
Het eerste veld konden we gelukkig met nog redelijk licht filmen, maar aangekomen bij het 2e veld is de zon achter de horizon verdwenen.

We actually expected them a day later, but when we drove home that evening after a day of filming elsewhere, we saw that they already had most of the maize in the pit.
Fortunately for us, they still had to do 2 fields close to the farm, and they stopped for a cup of coffee beforehand, which gave us time to quickly recharge the batteries at home and a chance to film some of it.
The chopping is done with an 8 row Claas Jaguar 950, and driving alongside the forage harvester they have a Massey Ferguson 7724 and 7624 Dyna VT with tri-axle DEWA silage trailers.
At the same time we are on the farm with another camera where the maize from the 2 remaining fields goes into a new pit, the pit work here is done with a Massey Ferguson 7720 S Dyna VT with a JOB Inno Walz 260 and silage leveler.
Fortunately, we were able to film the first field with reasonable light, but when we arrived at the 2nd field, the sun had disappeared behind the horizon.

Great video Niels, always the trouble at that time of year when you find somewhere to film and its going dark, a job to try and catch as much as possible before its darkness.
Thanks Tim. Yeah it's quite tricky when there is time pressure when filming. First it's a race against the dark (and it get's dark quite fast that time of the year again) and a race to get as much on film before the batteries run out (already done filming earlier on the day). The planning was that the contractor would have come the next day, but they were a bit ahead on schedule, so they started half a day earlier...which meant in the evening.
Prachtige beelden Niels, zeker ook in het donker.
