Aren’t these all like racing models for road course use I doubt they the 50 million $ originally examples u see on b. Jackson I think all these cars have stories lolz 😂 that’s why they beat on them Probably a lot of lowkey hush hush kit cars
That the GTO can basically stay with the TVR is remarkable given that the TVR has an engine 50% larger than the GTO's. The GTO's engine sound is the best argument against electric cars ever...
My son and I were on the right hand side of the exit of the chicane of this race. On lap 2 or 3, a driver (cobra I think) leant on the grass too hard, clipped the tire wall, spun and hit the pit wall. These guys were absolutely on it. A real treat to watch!!
It's great seeing these cars being driven like they were designed to be driven. It's a shame there are so many of these that are just locked in storage.
All too true! Ralph Lauren's Colkection has ALL 4 of Ferrari 250 Cars: Tessa Rosa, LM, SWB and GTO. Do you think any of those are Driven? Most-likely not!
40 years ago, I got to watch 250 GTOs in vintage sportscar racing in France. They were equally impressive then and even as kids, we knew we were witnessing automotive masterpieces. Lovely footage GR&R.
I really don't feel like the racing drivers that race at Goodwood get the credit that they deserve for being able to drive all these different types of race cars. I also like how you don't just show the outside of the car while it's racing but you also show Onboard video so people can better understand what these drivers have to do to navigate these courses
Hearing that wonderful sound brought me to tears! That type of pure unadulterated raw power and mechanical noise is all but gone with todays vehicles. A sad state indeed! Also, the driver knows his stuff, too. That 250 is pretty loose!
Can't say I'm much of a Ferrari guy(though I have my favorites), but if I were ever given the opportunity to try a classic sports car on a race track, the GTO would be somewhere up there.
To actually be in the cockpit. The smell of fuel and Italian leather. The harmonious growl of twelve , perfectly tuned cylinders. The connection to the car and the road at those speeds must make the heart pump and adrenaline surge.
When I was about eight years old I saw one of them, I have been a Ferrari fan ever sence. I have never driven a Ferrari, I need to rent one or something because I’m pretty old now
well...now there's better gasoline, better oils, better tyres.....so yes, i'd say that a 50yo car that is properly mantained and restored is gonna perform better now than in it's youth
If Ferrari could hop off the bhp treadmill and make a final lightweight V12 with a manual gearbox, before it's too late. Hands up if would take such a car over the F90 Stradale?
That 250 GTO is no bullshit wannabe race car, it’s the real deal. The music the engine makes is sublime, this and it’s Ferrari 250 GT V12 siblings were the last front engined cars to take top honours at the Le Mans 24H and other top endurance racing circuits around the world in the early 60s.
Well, the TVR had a bigger engine and more power, the fact that the Ferrari only had a 3 Litre engine and is still able to keep up with them, and even pass them (he managed to pass that TVR and finish second overall behind one Jaguar E Type Lightweight) is quite an achievement for me...
Awesome stuff. Quite surprised how much more top end grunt the other two cars have, the way they pull away down the straights. Looks like this little Ferrari needs a few more horses under the bonnet.
This will sound great at 11:00 PM tonight. I am listening to this on my iPad but I think all my neighbors will like to hear this from a pair of B&W tower speakers driven by 400 watts.
You can drive this beauty in assetto corsa with the ferrari pack's of DLc, and you can download the Track for free and add all those old cars and race just like in the video
If you like this sound, check out the short film 'C'était un rendezvous' by the French director Claude Lelouche. A 275 GTB across Paris on an August morning in the 1970s. Superb!😎👌
Now this is our kind of ASMR
Miraculous car and driver. They have become one!
yes, please make a playlist with all of the onboards, they can be kinda hard to locate at times
Those snaps of oversteer, man my heart nearly died. £50 million car and he’s doing that! 😅
(....That was him driving conservatively!)
I think at the end of the day if you are going to have a car like that you have to do something useful with it 😉
Aren’t these all like racing models for road course use
I doubt they the 50 million $ originally examples u see on b. Jackson
I think all these cars have stories lolz 😂 that’s why they beat on them
Probably a lot of lowkey hush hush kit cars
@@elevatedperformance yup. A replica. With mostlyferrari parts.
Marino's got this, don't worry.
Expensive as this car is I'm glad to see it getting hustled.
I don't care how rare the car is if its not going to be driven im not interested
He is using it how it’s meant to be, a race car
That the GTO can basically stay with the TVR is remarkable given that the TVR has an engine 50% larger than the GTO's. The GTO's engine sound is the best argument against electric cars ever...
so true! In the end we even passed it, I think that happened during pitstops.
There's hundreds of examples of engine note against electric cars..... Definitely mostly V8 on my list tho.
@@dillonpierce7869 VW VR6
@@thebrad271 sometimes.... That lupo that got 2 of those things stuffed in it sounded great.
My liver, kidneys and lungs in exchange for 30 minutes racing that car.
10 minutes of pure joy..great driving and great sound.
Holy crap I didn't even realize I watched this for 10 ,minutes, felt like less than 2.
And great skills
I have the video on loop😅

I love that sound
Then you'd like the film Le Mans. The Ferrari 512S Coda Lungas that featured competing against Porsche 917s have a similar sound.
Some of the best racing and racing drivers I've ever seen are always at Goodwood
On my bucket list. About the best reason to go to England I can think of.
It's great seeing these cars being driven like they were designed to be driven. It's a shame there are so many of these that are just locked in storage.

That's what Goodwood is all about.. Fantasy cars/bikes driven by fantastic drivers 🏁
I really don't feel like the racing drivers that race at Goodwood get the credit that they deserve for being able to drive all these different types of race cars.

This makes me miss gated manuals so much 😩
The sound is absolutely heavenly.

Sounds amazing :O Must be quite frightening knowing a single mistake could cost millions :S
Cars like this driven like this is what makes Goodwood great
This is the kind of music I put in my playlist, 60s hits
My Ferrari and this lovely GTO have so much in common...like the nose badge, the steering wheel badge and the key ring... see it's almost a GTO.
Sublime! That TVR in the lead is a rocket! 6:00
The power of the SBF!
@@irritablearchitect SBF ?

@@Bob-ll4xu - Yes. We use a lot of shorthand nomenclature for engines here in the States. SBC, BBC, SBF.
Exactly my thoughts, first time up the Lavant Straight and I thought he'd walk past the TVR, but oh gol-ly no.
As a driver, I deeply felt that head shake of utter frustration at 6:55. This video was my treat of the day. Fantastic driver and car!
So much better than looking at it in a museum 👍😎

These cars/guys are great How much fun is nick swift in the Mini 1275 ( same race)
Thanks for the ride
It was fun
fabulous footage, driving and of course car!
I almost get tears watching this, it's just awesome.

Somebody knew how to split the gears correctly here- that is for sure!Always revving at the sweet spot, awesome!
I love this channel.
Great cinema to see the '64 GTO driving very, very fast here. And a fight between "father and son"... Bizzarini against the GTO...
nice driving….and the car….no words…perfect ….!!!!!
Prepare for the greatest thing you're about to see. A Ferrari 250 GTO in its natural habitat!
Exceptional,Magisterial, thats one lucky man for sure,Forza Italia!!!
we had a real one here in north royalton ohio suburb of cleveland
What an aural symphony… I don’t care how fast your Tesla Plaid is, just listen to this!
Absolutely!!😂
That sound of the Colombo V12! That intake growl! They don't make 'em like this anymore.
Love the sound of banging GEARS
Real content!
That crinkle paint dash is so cool 😎.. and that sound...😮
That’s how it’s done. Brilliant. Driving that beast as it was intended to be.
When I was about eight years old I saw one of them, I have been a Ferrari fan ever sence. I have never driven a Ferrari, I need to rent one or something because I’m pretty old now
A fantastic video on here with Phil Hill's son driving one on a hilly road. Use headphones and turn it up.
This Car is so Rare that watching It in a Video gives Me Goosepumps
Best music video ever made 🤩🤩
Thank you sir.
That TVR is a mighty little car!
Usually people who have vintage cars wouldn’t let Harry Flatters anywhere near their car, but here we have Harry Flatters driving a vintage Ferrari
Maserati Tipo 151 got the measure of these last outing at Goodwood, too bad it was unreliable in period. Magnificent footage.
maybe these magnificent, perfectly restored cars work better than when they were originally.
well...now there's better gasoline, better oils, better tyres.....so yes, i'd say that a 50yo car that is properly mantained and restored is gonna perform better now than in it's youth
Parts are also just made better today than in 1963.
Thanx Damon for those drifts
Damon? That's Marino Franchitti...
Unforgettable moment at Laguna Seca years ago with multiple GTOs racing hard
He is indeed in tune with the suspension rhythm of swing :-)
Just awesome looking racing...
4:18 Turn left to go right, thanks Doc
As well saidxby others, its WONDERFUL to See AND Hear such an incredible Car being Drive, NOT kept in a museum!
He is in it!!!!!
Thanks
Surprised how the gearshift is precise, clean and fast!
Music to my ears.
There's really nothing better than seeing such cars being driven hard. Hats off to the owners and drivers, both have to be a little bit mad.

SOUND MAGIC
Glorious! And FYI, most "priceless" cars being raced, are recreations. Still very expensive though.
Most cars at goodwood like this one are real. Wouldn’t be surprised if goodwood didn’t allow replicas.
Not "most", but "some". The car in the video is indeed one of the replicas, took 20 or so years to build, and used a 250 GTE as a parts donor.
Race cars with three pedals a h pattern and a key in the ignition. The way it should be.
Best sound in the world, it's made in Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹
I’ve often wondered are these the real cars or recreations my nerves would be shot racing something that valuable
This is the dream. Wow.
Perfect view of the overtake at 6:05
Analogue Heaven
Best sound ever time!
Thats just kinda awesome
This guy is thrashing the entire GDP of a small country at 10/10ths maximum attack and full chat, marvelous.
The GTO costs 500 times more than the TVR but cant catch it!
On the other hand, that sound. If you can afford it.
Well, the TVR had a bigger engine and more power, the fact that the Ferrari only had a 3 Litre engine and is still able to keep up with them, and even pass them (he managed to pass that TVR and finish second overall behind one Jaguar E Type Lightweight) is quite an achievement for me...
and in the end we did pass it 😅 P2 it was, P1 was an Etype
Awesome stuff. Quite surprised how much more top end grunt the other two cars have, the way they pull away down the straights. Looks like this little Ferrari needs a few more horses under the bonnet.
That sound
sense of speed is so much better here compared to modern cars... oversteer all the way it's an amazing drive. Engine is singing
Let that v12 sing maistro
Needs a firm hand on the gearshifts then, and some shouldering on the steering.
Epic video, Thanks!
This will sound great at 11:00 PM tonight. I am listening to this on my iPad but I think all my neighbors will like to hear this from a pair of B&W tower speakers driven by 400 watts.
It’s not the Gran Turismo Omologato for nothing
And that secondary pedals on the passenger?!?!! Is there a driving school in the world with 250GTOs?
Fantastic stuff indeed
