Destiny child started off with 4 members beyonce, Kelly, latoya and Latvia. They kicked latoya and Latvia out replaced with Farah and Michelle. Then they kicked out Farah and just left the 3 beyonce, Kelly and Michelle
The story goes that letoya and letavia were unhappy with Beyonce's father managing them and they wanted to seek their own independent management, and they were fired from the group instead. They found out they had been replaced when this video came out with 2 new members. It is still their vocals on the track, they co-wrote the track and they won Grammy's for it. Patrick Courtney Beyoncé and Kelly couldn’t kick anybody out of the group... Those girls were lazy and started dating Jagged Edge guys (reason why they worked with them in their first album which flopped miserably).
@@rosariodealmeida2328 Matthew wanted total control and told them they weren't allowed to date and he also to put one of the girls mama off the bus and JE weren't having it and defended them. Latoya and Latavia both say they didn't have beef with Beyonce and Kelly, they weren't happy with management (Matthew) and he kicked them out the group and the other members were not allowed any contact with them at all

There wouldn’t be any Destiny’s Child if it wasn’t for Mathew or Beyoncé. Good thing they listened to JE now look at all 6 of them FLOPPED! They’re absolutely NOTHING compared to Beyoncé. They should’ve stick with Beyoncé because she clearly was destined to become who she is now and don’t put it on Mathew because she did it with him and even better without him.
@@rosariodealmeida2328 if you watch the jagged edge unsung episode, you would know the story about the bus situation, also who flopped??JE were a very successful group, Latoya released successful albums after she left the group and has had a good acting career she was just in a few seasons of Greenleaf. She's not doin much now because she got married and had a baby. Latavia had a hard time but she is doing okay now. The only group member nobody really has heard about is Farrah. Several people have told similar stories about Matthew, they aren't all lying 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Beyonce dont even deal with him like that and fired him as her manager. Those girls were definitely not fired for being "lazy".

Beyonce & Farrah particularly always stood out to me in this video. That orange just looks soooo good on Bey and Farrah looked regal in her hairstyle and outfit. Also the few clips of Farrah where the colors have mixed and there's a contrast of white and red look REALLY good!

Farrah was later removed from the group. She’s still waiting her luggage from baggage claim. The final revision of the group is Kelly Beyonce and Michelle. However the original Destiny’s child members were Beyonce, Kelly, laTavia and Leytoya. Say My Name came from the album The Writing’s On The Wall. That album has the original members. Also I’m loving the Lucy Pearl Dance Tonight instrumental in the background!

However the group itself was made in 1990 back when they called themselves girls tyme. In 1992 they released their first studio album when they were only 10 which charted on the bubbling under. However, even that accolade has been challenged. Also, how the hell can you say that certifications and sales are two separate things? The whole point of certifying sales is to verify how much has been sold - so the two work hand in hand. In order for Destiny's Child to be named best selling female group of all time, it means that the group's sales had to be tallied and documented and that's exactly what certifying entails and implies. Also, having the highest certifications directly implies that you have the highest sales, how else would one then get to a number? Think for yourself before throwing around terms and thinking you're the shit. According to certified sales, Destiny's Child is the third biggest selling female group of all time. Unfortunately, the group's uncertified sales can't be included until those sales are accounted for. Until then, the facts remain. Watch your mouth though.
idk if someone told you this but they had to do this choreography because around those days a new member joined destinys child and they didn’t have time to teach her the original choreography, so they scratched it and did this. Love your videos!!!

The two original Destiny's Child member Letoya and Latavia found out they were replace when this video premiered they were both in fact fired unknowingly they were replace with Michelle Williams and Farrah but then Farrah got fired she was only in the group for 5 months she only appeared in this video and Jumpin Jumpin Farrah and the original two members had problems with Beyonce father Matthew Knowles who were their manager and management due to their roles in the group so it end up with 3 Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle.

Rodney Jerkins aka Darkchild produced this song. Timbaland also did a slow remix of this song which is still 🔥. Both versions are great.
Chorus were sung by all members: Beyoncé lead the first part with Kelly supporting both first and second part, then LeToya lead the second part, while LaTavia coming in with the bottom harmony on the last part of the chorus!
Pre-chorus sang by Beyoncé solo, and the group harmony is only between LaTavia and LeToya

Rodney Jerkins produced this song. You should look him up on Wikipedia and look at the songs he produced. You’ll see he has a distinct sound. Amazing producer. He did a lot of Brandys biggest songs... speaking of which you need to do a Brandy Reaction.
When this video first came out the two other original members of Destiny's Child Letoya Luckett and Latavia Robinson was fired from the group but they had no idea they were fired they found out they were replace by looking at the premiere of this video and seen two new girls in the video with Beyonce and Kelly and Latavia and Letoya sued the group and Beyonce father who was the manager of Destiny's Child who fired the two due to problems.
Michelle and the other girl who's name is Farrah replace the two original girls but Farrah end up getting fired due to problems with Beyonce father just like the two original members who was previously fired she end up getting fired and only appeared in two music video which is Say My Name and Jumpin Jumpin after she got fired it became 3 and the rest is history.
This was a very messy group you can read about the group if you interested or watch documentaries about the drama of Destiny's Child.

Man, all I had to do was wait for your reaction to the final shot! It was right on time. I hollered! Farrah Franklin was the shortest one, who only had a brief stint in the group. Of course, Farrah & Michelle replaced original members, LeToya & LaTavia. Farrah left, or was fired (depending on whom you speak to) & DC3 remain.
Yes there is a 4th member. One of them dropped out a few years into the run they had, forget why.

Like everyone else said, there were originally four members-- Beyonce, Kelly, LeToya, and LaTavia. That was the most popular, besides DC3, and beautiful grouping in my opinion. What people didn't mention is that while LeToya and LaTavia were beefing with the label and Beyonce's dad, they didn't officially find out that they were out of the group until this video premiered 😬. Their vocals were still used too.

Destiny's Child has a lot of history and many members but the official destiny's child (which was the final product of years of changing titles and members) had 4 members. Beyoncé, Kelly, LaTavia, and LeToya. In the middle of the era for their second album, LaTavia and LeToya left the group (or kicked out depending on the member you ask). Then 2 replacements were added: Farrah and Michelle (who are in this video). Farrah was not very good addition and didn't really get along with the other members, especially Beyoncé. So Farrah left after about 6 months and they just left it at Bey, Kelly, and Michelle (aka DC3, the most famous version of Destiny's Child). Once it came down to DC3, everybody was able to get more parts because now everybody had the ability to sing lead, unlike before (Beyoncé's words lol). Also, I'd love if you reacted to the video for Deja Vu by Beyoncé and Jay Z

Kelly and Beyonce may have or may not have seen how their bandmates were being treated, but clearly the original two other girls were kicked out of the group without knowing. They were never planning on leaving, so saying its based off of who you ask is just disregarding what those two girls and Farrah has stated and or how they were being treated, but the difference is obviously Farrah quit without force. Even people outside group saw how Matthew operate and treat the other girls who wasn't kelly or beyonce including the public.
Well...... As someone already mentioned, DC originally had 4 members. Two of the original members left right before they shot the video for this song. Their vocals are still on the track. They needed for girls for the video. Fun fact: They were rehearing choreography but it wasn’t going well so they axed it and just added all the poses.
Yeah, the two original members were LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson. Then, Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams joined them. However, Farrah was only in the group for a few months (five or six). Since then, it's been a trio of only Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams until they officially disbanded in '06.
