- आधुनिक खेती ने पर्यावरण पर बहुत बुरा असर डाला है. इसमे काफी CO2 का उत्सर्जन होता है और बहुत जमीन की जरुरत होती है. खेती करने के कुछ पुराने तरीके बड़े पैमाने की खेती को भी टिकाऊ बना सकते हैं. जैसे कि एग्रोफोरेस्ट्री - यानी, पेड़ों को फसल और मवेशियों के साथ जोड़ना.

माननीय अशोक कुमार जी एग्रो फारेस्ट्री पर रिपोर्ट अच्छी है धन्यवाद। खेती किसानी का अर्थ ही हैकि खेत जोतकर फसल उत्पादन करना, पशुपालन और वानिकी का समुच्चय है। हरित क्रांति ने इसे एकांकी बना दिया है जिसका खामियाजा किसान कर्जदार होकर भुगत रहे हैं और पर्यावरण खराब हो रहा है इसके अतिरिक्त मशीनीकरण के पशुओं की ताकतों इस्तेमाल समाप्त हो गया है जो कृषि फसलों के वेस्ट पर पल जाते हैं हमे लौटना ही होगा।

महाराष्ट्र में ये बहुत लोकप्रिय हो रहा है। यहां सुभाभूल नाम का पेड़ के नीचे मुर्गी पालन किया जा रहा है। इन पेड़ों की पत्तियां मुर्गियां बहुत ही पसंद से खाती है। देशी मुर्गियां होने के कारण कम बहुत कम होता है। एक इंसान काफी होता है। और अच्छा मार्केट भी और अच्छा दाम भी मिलता है। महाराष्ट्र सुखा पीड़ित किसानों के लिए वरदान साबित हुआ है।

पश्चिमी राजस्थान मे तो ऐसे ही खेती करते है हम।एक हेक्टेयर खेत मे बीस पच्चीस पेड लगे होते है।बिना पानी के ऐग्रो फोरेस्टी राजस्थान से सिखो।
पोपलर जमीन को बंजर करने के साथ ही जमीन की नमी को समाप्त करता है भारत में इसके बहुत नुकसान सामने आ चुके हैं, किसान अपनी जमीनों को अनुपजाऊ होते हुए देख रहे हैं
हमारे खेतों में मेरे पैदा होने से पहले ऐसे खेती की जा रही है मतलब 35 साल तो गए, हां बस मुर्गियां नहीं है।

भारत में यह बहुत आम बात हैं,
यहां अधिकतर मिश्रित खेती ही की जाती हैं,
उच्च मशीनी युग में भी भारत के कई हिस्सों के किसान जी तोड़ मेहनत करते हैं।।
जिसमें राजस्थान अग्रणी है।।
हमारे यहां ओसतन हर खेत में 12 से 13 और कुछ खेतों में तो इससे भी ज्यादा पेड़ होते हैं।।
आप पर्यावरण के बारे में जागरुक हैं,
तो आपको हमारे मारवाड़,राजस्थान का अवलोकन करना चाहिए।।

कार्बन उत्सर्जन का सबसे ज्यादा बड़ा कारण यूरोप और अन्य पश्चिमी देश हैं,
अब वे कुछ विकास कर भारत जैसे विकासशील देशों पर भी दबाव डालते हैं कि वे अपना कार्बन फुटप्रिंट शून्य करे तो यह बहुत गंदा विचार हैं।।
