Would love to see how you play against lucci! I have been trying to play more aggro into them bc their hand is usually bricks, but I still lose pretty often. Amazing break down though. I will be changing up my list after this.
Lucci is definitely on the list to showcase Moria vs Lucci. Some advice in the meantime, be very selective when you are using your bodies to attack because we want to make it as difficult for them to clear our units so if they have a rested unit to attack into all the time and also be able to clear our active units, the matchup becomes very hard for us to maintain a board presence.
Loved this! I agree that going wide Moria is the way to go for this meta. It’s not what people expect with Black (although you do still have your removal). I’m playing Lucci this set, but would be cool with trying out Moria at some point after this 👍
Haha, you figured it out XD. Ya I speed up the recordings because I figured people would be more hesitant to click on a 26-27 minute video rather than just a 20 minute video.🤪
The deck really does have a good curve first or second. But if I had to choose Go First: Enel, Blue Doffy, Boa, Mirror Match. Go 2nd: Lucci, RP & RG Law, Bonney, BY Luffy, Perona, Reiju
It would be nice to see your views on rp law match up. I find it quite difficult with either Moria or Lucci, too fast , too agro. & Thanks for sharing the list, i ll give it a try.
The RP law matchup is definitely tough. It largely depends on if they just have the cards they need because if they do, no deck is beating it. But, your best chance against it is to go 2nd, and on your 6 don turn have a way to remove their 5 cost kid they played prior with either a Hina + leader skill or a big body like Sakazuki. I would recommend defending life early to an extent so you can soak up some hits later on. Also, never swing with the unit you play off of leader skill from your 4 don turn. It will just allow them to clear both of your units on their 7 don turn.
I actually do have a couple op07.5 list I've been testing. I think Moria is in a very good position with Lucci being slightly hit and RP law out of the picture. Would an updated video be helpful?
No problem. The reason behind no Lucci is because this deck no longer has the ability to do cheap wide spread minus. Great eruption made lucci a viable option within Moria because you could K.O 4 cost and a larger body at the same time (assuming you also have Tsuru/Helmeppo + Ice age). But now we don't have that option anymore, you could use tempest kick but I've noticed Moria does struggle more to get to and maintain that high trash count consistently. Lucci Leader can abuse Lucci SR much more because it also has the stage for minus 2 cost. So overall, I think Moria is better off currently going wide through leader skill + 8 drop Moria/rebbeca, and doing single target pops on big units and deal with other units through our number of attacks.
mmm i would not run the saak but the 6 brook for nami matchup and going into another black deck also run less brook 3 cost u only need 1/2 imo still decent list tho
Brook isn’t searchable and it’s 4 cost or less, which means you need a -1 to hit Sabos. I thought about that as well but the 7k power line puts another pressure too.
Very fair point you bring up here. I think 6 cost brook could definitely have a place in the list. I think the nami matchup we do normally have a good matchup into since we do go wide quickly but the bottom deck application of brook would be nice. It also makes sense when playing against another black deck but I've found 6 cost Saka to stick to the board much more often and helps against bigger body decks such as Enel and Bonney. As for 3 cost brook, I've messed around with 2 copies but I felt I just wasn't seeing it enough in my trash but running 2 could be more than fine
@@alexandernguyen8931 I agree with you here. Brook to me isn't as good as Saka for what this deck is trying to do where it is focused on a single target K.O and going wide/developing our board. 7k swing also just feels very strong
C8 Sabo is good but for some bodies you would still need to be able to minus cost your opponents characters, unless you have 1 cost events that can minus such as Ice Age in hand there is nothing much you can do since Sabo is 8Don himself already. Stussy just trashes whatever is on board no matter the cost of the opponents character.
Haha 😝. You 100% could and should. I can see the title now "I swept my locals with only a Starter Deck". As for my locals, its a very competitive scene, we have a lot of players who top regionals as well as Top 64 at Nats so the player base we have is very strong. Also lets be honest, 9-0 is super eye catching 🤣
I got the same question in one of the other comments so I think my response here still applies: "The reason behind no Lucci is because this deck no longer has the ability to do cheap wide spread minus. @@Reikouh Hi, some gameplay against bonney (or even lucci) would be nice ^^

Any recomendation for Enel match up?
Just launched a new video that actually has a matchup versus Enel. I do a bit of an explanation in it on how you should go about the matchup!
Where can i get the playmat?
I got it off of Etsy from a seller on there. But I'm not sure if they are still selling on there. I think I just searched 'Zoro Playmat'
What’s that card case called for your leader??
The brand is Qesonoo, I bought them off Amazon, I think they are called Acrylic Card Protector

Get anything good out of the packs you won?
I keep forgetting that Sal picture is your profile pic 😭
Unfortunately my prize pack luck is the worst. 24 out of 30 packs, all rares. Thanks for reminding me of the pain :(
