I am a Franco Canadian infantry veteran of the Royal 22ieme Regiment aka Vandoos, living in Quebec city, who loves his country CANADA! My home AND native land. DO NOT make the mistake of generalizing and speaking for all Canadians. IT IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE!
    🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦
This is true for all of the youtubers who gaslight the net everyday. Do not fall in "Prez Trusk" stupidity. I do love the United States having served beside them as brothers in arms. Sadly, i must say, they are increasingly getting hard to like...
    Je me souviens.
We are a peacefull country, not to be taken as weak...

I think that it is such a shame that it creates such a culture clash while Canada could multiply their opportunities.
    - English is the global language and allows stronger cultural ties with their fellow anglo-saxons
    - French would open greater economic, political and cultural opportunities for Canada as most international institutions in Europe are in French speaking cities (EU, UN, NATO, are in Strasburg, Brussels, Geneva).
The wealthiest euro region in GDP is Paris.
Canada would benefit from cultivating both languages and use it as a leverage for developement.

There hardly is a country in Europe that has only one historical language. So the inital comparision on languages makes no sense.
Spain for example Cstilian, Catalan, Galician, Basque. France main language is French, with quite some regional differences, but also Basque, Breton (a celtic language), Germanic languages (Alsatian, Flemish) and several islands with an own language (Corsica and many oversees islands) and also French Guiana.

You were doing well until the six minute mark. After that, you have several historical and contemporary errors. You probably should read more about the Catholic emancipation, the Quiet Revolution, and the religious numbers in Canada.

Never associate the french republican flag blue/white/red with the history and the colonization of Canada. That country was a colony of the kingdom of France, it never had anything to do with the french republic. Show the Quebecer flag instead, it is blue with white fleurs-de-lys.

Am I to believe the history of Canada is basically about the English and French language. This sounds overly simplistic.

The French speaking side is very stubborn

  • @alexbr550

It seems that the English speaking side is sensitive to the needs of those who speak French and try and appease them through the passage of laws and other protections. The French side is still not happy and very combative and stubborn about everything.
